Etheric lighy
Well i see that bungie has again catered to the pvp crowd by enabling those who reach certain levels in the iron banner to buy etheric light. If you have all the time in a week to play the iron banner i guesd thats just swell. If you dont i guess too bad. How about pve players? Supposedly beating the nightfall can get you etheric light but there is no guarantee. I have beaten the nightfall strikes many times with crap for reward . How about a guaranteed etheric light for beating the nightfall ?

1 ReplyDon't worry in August they'll give it out like candy to get people excited for TTK. Then when TTK comes out EL will more than likely be obsolete and there will be some other currency to grind for that will ascend all of your already ascended gear. It's such a -blam!-ing stupid concept, but then over at Bungie they come up with some really shitty concepts. That said they also have some really good ones but fall short on the execution.

2 RepliesEdited by slavko: 7/2/2015 12:47:00 AMI stoped playing for 5 months, came back with 2-31's and 1-32 and lv all of them up to 34 in 10 days and ascended 6 guns. This DLC Is way to easy. time for IB, its true if you want all 6 ethric then its a little grindy but 3 characters to lv 3 is easy. On the last day you get 300 for a win, at the being its only 50, i handed in 4 bounties and got 2500xp, went from lv 1 to almost 4 in about 1 hour. Poe34=3 ethric and 3hr in banner=3ethric 6 ethric thats not that bad in one week, its there you just have to go and get it. Have a go mate.

4 RepliesHow much difference are people finding after they ascend legendary weapons? I have another 6 lights saved and can't decide whether to ascend all the new IB gear or to start doing a few weapons.

1 ReplyI'm not picking on Bungie because they put Eth. light in the list of IB awards. Yeah, it's a grind, but it's doing wonders for my k/d ratio. I AM picking on them because they refused to include matchmaking in higher-level PoE, making said grind necessary.

4 RepliesIron Banner is the only way that I can get Etheric Light. I don't do the nightfall mission and I don't do the non-matchmaking Prison of Elder's. Going to grind Iron Banner when they get rid of the glitches.

What most of them are also not mentioning, is that there is also a small chance that EL will drop from Variks reward packages. Which you get one from tanking up with Variks (and seemingly one at the start of every week, dunno if that's a bug) But you also get the armor and weapons cores, which can suppliment you 365 attack weapons and 42 light gear as well. I wouldn't be against them raising the chances of getting it from Nightfall, especially as some of the rewards are kind of meh the more and more you play the game.

2 RepliesPoE lvl 34 and 35 offer elight. IB is 1 week only. Other then that PvPers only have Trials of Osiris to get Elight when IB isnt in town. PoE is a lot easier to get Elight then ToO is.
