Let me spin you a tale:
My son and I have been taking a break from Destiny. We thought "hey let's log into Evolve and see what's new."
We log in and in the the last three months there were about $150 worth of micro transactions alone like changing the color of your monster. Then There was a NEW Season Pass 2 that was priced at $24.99 vs the original one which was $15. There were gun skins, etc etc etc...
We had a heart to heart about the pricing and he openly felt it was a scam to print money. A twelve year old.
Do we have money? Yes. But that isn't the point. Real value vs. perceived value is the point.
So, we decided to put our money into a new franchise and we chose Bloodborne.
Stacking TTK up against four year development time new IP's like Witcher 3 or Bloodborne makes even a 12 year old recognize real value.
TTK is not "really" worth it compared to other games. It might be worth it because of your own list of perceived value reasons. But it is over priced- that cannot be disputed and offering up other overpriced DLC or free to play games that work off addiction gimmicks isn't a proper comparison-- certainly not one you would teach a child.
TL; DR: If a game company can work tirelessly for four years and market the game and patch the game and still make money at $60 then TTK is overpriced.

Bloodborne for a 12 year old? Maybe you should watch what you let your kids play a bit?...just a thought.

Half naked people are on everything these days, killing fake monsters is ok, plus kids unfortunately grow up faster these days, doesn't mean they are mature but you know. Yeah many games have great value as the ones listed above, they still care is why they aren't just about money.

I'm sure this generation has been exposed to much worse.

Depends on the child the maturity and personality. Where i am at 14 year olds drink beer and its normal.

Counties have different cultures that's for sure, and we also get different pricing haha
