I reached the same conclusions weeks ago and switched off Destiny, very probably for good.

Unfortunately for me, I still enjoy the rest of destiny and need the etheric light. Since I dont play trials of osiris, and Iron banner isnt in town, PoE is the only option.

I've had a few drop in nightfalls when I played.

Same here but totally random. Not a reliable source of light.
