I have pieced together a theory of the taken king. If anyone would care to tell me if they have info against any parts, that would be appreciated. After e3 I'm pretty sure I can tell you the entire story of the taken king. So the taken king will start out with the traveler awakening. The new subclasses have been long lost to guardians, and with the traveler awakening he will gift it to you. Oryx is only kill able by a certain artifact. The jovians, the awoken, and now you are searching for it. Skolas was let loose by the jovians because they are upset with the queen. The artifact lies on Saturn. I think this because the speaker has said maybe it's beyond the jovians. He also comments about an object of immense power. Skolas saw that oryx is coming because his grimoire shows him afraid of something called the darkness unifer. (Not his exact words but same thing). This is where people get the thought that the taken will be an advanced combination of all the races. Also on the moon map for crucibles the cauldron, that was a hive base used to modify species. Anyways oryx is currently on Saturn, and he is planning an attack on the last city. The story campaign will consist of you obtaining the relic and saving the city. The raid will be you killing oryx. the reason I think the tower will be under attack is because of the weapons, the vanguard leaders ikora, zavala, and cayde now have personal weapons. At e3 you could see multiple weapons referencing them. Also the weapon makers will have a bigger role. This leads me to believe that the traveler has awoken because how else do we obtain all this new gear. Another thing that supports the traveler awakening is the upgrade of the ghosts. To sum it up the jovians are searching for this artifact, and to slow the awoken down in their search they release skolas. The reasoning behind this is because the Jovian know that the awoken would only help themselves. The speaker believes he located the artifact beyond the Jovian on Saturn. So the story will be you going to Saturn, and obtaining the artifact. You will then lead an assault on oryx and his fleet. This attack will not kill oryx but destroy his main force. The raid will have you actually killing him. I also think the stranger will reappear. The stranger is tied to the vex because of her weapon, and teleportation. I think she came from Saturn. She says she was not born of light. I think she was built by oryx being a vex/awoken hybrid. The experiment failed and she escaped. My support for this is, she can time travel just like the vex, she has futuristic weapons, and she is awoken. I think she will help you in obtaining the artifact and help attack oryx. TLDR: You will get an Artifact from Saturn to defeat oryx and his army. The taken are an advanced mix of all the species. The stranger will reappear and help. The jovians will also make an appearance. Edit: the stranger is awoken, and many believe that the stranger is actually Osiris's brother. I feel that they actually are on to something. Think about it: Every raid so far has always stuck to the same rule; We were not the first to attempt it. In my opinion, we will learn about a secret raid on the dreadnought and will follow in their footsteps. I think the Exo Stranger is involved because of when she says "cut the engines and don't let them find you." This is shaping up to be good!

It would be cool if Oryx summons a random guardian that's queuing up for rumble and made that person fight against the fireteam :P

He didn't make thorn. It was created by jaren ward and was called the rose. The grimoire points that jaren ward is Dregen tor. It became for when this happened. 'He looked down upon his rose and saw there was no petals and just thorns

The whole idea of combatting Taken Guardians fascinates me. Or even having one of your own fireteam members get Taken, that would be some crazy stuff
