I personally dislike how sci-fi it looks now. I liked the past contrast of realistic-looking human technology against the alien covenant tech but now spartans look like a bunch of power rangers.

  • And takes place almost 5 years after Halo 3. Compare their art styles. I understand that they started reverse-engineering everything, but damn. Maybe it's because of the Graphical Engine and how everything looks so computerized and artificial. Personally, I like Destiny's art style a lot more, and that is [i]700[/i] years from today, because of how... real it looks.

  • Yeah, but I liked the old art direction from Halo Reach better than the Halo 4 version. The Spartan armor in Reach looked believable and militaristic. The armor now....well.....I know that technology has advanced in Halo 4, but some of the MJOLNIR Gen. 2 armor sets, like the Wetwork and Pioneer, look silly as -blam!-.

  • Only thing I'm disliking so far is the ADS feature, but I don't really dislike anything else. Might be fun to command a squad as long as it feels natural and dynamic instead of scripted.

  • Yeah. I can clearly tell that 343 was inspired by Star Wars Republic Commando when they were designing that system. Pretty cool stuff, and yes, I hope that it's a dynamic system too instead of a linear one.

  • I think they actually [i]hired[/i] the Lead Designer in charge of the Squad Functions in Republic Commando, which makes it even better.
