I don't think oryx should die he's a god he's as close to the main destiny enemy as it gets. I think you should almost kill him and he basically runs away to get stronger so he can return to destiny 2.
Leave me your thoughts and vote a reasoning with your vote would be great and if you could drop a like that would be awesome.

Kill him off kill the hive off give us a brand new race maybe with more ai?
-
I don't think the Taken King is gonna go down that easy. Remember that first leak that showed destiny and all 6 expansions from a conference room? Let him run and throw us side bosses and main bosses til the end of Destiny 1 (6th expansion). I want to fight a "god" at the end.
-
He should die and let the Cabal Army rise to take his place!! just imagine a Cabal King :o
-
He's a god so he can't die? Crota and the black heart were gods
-
Who is oryx
-
He is he main destiny enemy. But in destiny 2, there will be another, more powerful boss
-
So we would basically be fighting Voldemort then?
-
The story is about banishing him the raid will be for other hive gods or his other sons
-
Is there anything else which is special about Oryx, apart from being Crota's dad?
-
Yes,. Unless you want another hive expansion. I know I don't.
-
Yes but...we barely have any story in the current game so Oryx is minor compared to the later things they will launch. Just seems important now...
-
I like the idea of him being banished and the Hive threat significantly reduced. However it does allow for the return of the Hive at a later stage, and as others have pointed out, this would be a good end to Destiny 1 for the story, and allow a new chapter to start in Destiny 2 (Guardians, tower etc has expanded, new frontiers have opened, the moon has been retaken etc etc). All in all the new content looks very good, though hope in some ways you do not have to Raid to battle Oryx,
-
Crota gets resurrected?
-
No. Don't kill me. I have a family to rai- oh yea I forgot
-
Am I the only one that thinks Oryx looks awsome?? Lol
-
He will be available in The Taken King 2 exspansion which will cost just $60 or $80 for the full game and exspansion version, or $120 for the game exslansion and for a black shader and class item re textured with something meaningless on.
-
"The moon was but a setback!"
-
A good way would be for oryx to be banished instead of killed He's a God so we shouldn't be able to hurt him so we could fight him indirectly by destroying the machine/bonds that tether him to this dimension. That way we can get a better boss mechanic and the lore is preserved.
-
We should be able to kill him. Yeah I know he is a "god" but frankly a "god" can be just used for creatures that posess far greater powers that we don´t. It doesn´t make them immortal. And the whole Destiny progression is getting to higher light level being able to take on creatures far stronger than you and prevail. So I´d say it´s perfectly fine to be able to kill him (I WANT A BADASS HARDCORE FIGHT THOUGH!) What about Destiny 2 and beyond? I don´t think it´s a problem. Oryx could only be one of the Hive gods. There could be other broods with their "gods"...and quite frankly with that in mind there should be and "Overmind" controlling all of them...So there is always a way to find...the bigger guy. You know, the one that comes after you kill the big guy. I´m more hyped about the Taken. From what it seems it´s more of other races reanimated than new enemy. While this may come as "lazy" for some people, it actually means that we may be getting a Raid with all the enemy types, not just one race!

Two theories. 1. We kill the supposed main god of the hive, but he resurrects to be fought later on in the series while leaving us to think he is done for good and the hive are no more. 2. We don't defeat him and instead he makes a hasty retreat to lick his wounds and either stay hidden for good or become a reoccurring threat. Either way, some serious shit is going to go down because we killed his son. So Oryx is coming for blood. Whether it's ours or his that gets spilled is still up for grabs.
-
I think Oryx is more upset that crota was cheesed opposed to being defeated. Made a mockery out of a hive Demi-god.
-
Kill him and WAIT for mother to return.... Return of the dark widow
-
Oryx is as much of a god as such Ragnaros was in WoW, he may be pretty strong, but there are much stronger forces out there.
-
Dont forget there are multiple hive gods oryx is just 1of them
-
My theory since the beginning is that, assuming there is 4 games, we'll defeat one major enemy race per game. Destiny: we defeat the Hive Destiny 2: We defeat the Fallen Destiny 3: We defeat the Cabal Destiny 4: We defeat the Vex or they defeat us(plot twist!)
-
Nah I think bungie wants to kill oryx off to end the hive saga. Destiny 2 will probably lean more towards the cabal.
