It's not a "Glitch" per say. You see, the swarm grenade must have been coded so that each individual Swarm is considered an enemy in the game world. So when they get destroyed it is considered a "Grenade Kill". Not a Glitch, it's an problem with how the grenade was coded and how a perk is coded, causing super energy being able to replenish in an unintended way.

  • No, because everything is working the way it's coded. Unlike the Heavy amo glitch (a genuine thing that was a problem in the code) this is working based on the laws of the code, it was all coded this way. It's just that Bungie never tested to see if this could happen. In reality is more of an exploit of Perks to do something that has always been possible.

  • You just said it was unintended. If it was the intended effect, then there's nothing wrong with it. But it's not. I activates on hits instead of kills. you're really grasping at straws, this shit will be patched.

  • Oh that's what you think I'm trying to argue? I have no problem with it being patched, it is broken. I'm just saying that it's not a glitch.

  • It is a glitch, idiot. The player is getting super energy for grenade hits, not kills.

  • Ok so you obviously didn't bother to read my post so I will put it here again It's not a "Glitch" per say.

Exactly. The grenade is meant to provide super energy for Kills. Instead energy is gained through hits. It is a glitch becauae it was not intended. Stop being dumb.

  • In my post I believe I said something like: "the Swarms are being counted as enemies, so when one is destroyed, it counts as a "Grenade Kill"." It has been discovered that any player using an Ashes to Aset perk, and throws a grenade at the swarm, it regains super energy for every Swarm destroyed. Proving that they are counted as an "Enemy" in the game world.

  • Bug, Glitch, exploit, whatever. The technicallity of the terminology is irrelivent for the time being, the issue is it's an unintended function that should be addressed as it's NOT intended.

  • Either way it needs to be fixed

  • It would be hard, seeing as people at Bungie would have to completely re-code how the Grenade functions.

  • We don't know the origin to the bug, we've no idea the difficulty it is to fix. This isn't something that should be left as is.
