The perk and grenade has been like this since day one.. each swarm grenade replenished 7% of your super based on damage .. It was like that when I was a wee lad of only level 20.. If you tossed the grenade you could not kill anything but thrall.. But it always worked on Knights .. It took two grenades to build your super .. It was woefully underpowered as perk Loadout went .. Perks are meant to Be used in conjunction or staked .. That's their purpose. Each DLC will have new perks and will interact differently with older gear .. So when you fought Skolas .. Did you ever pop a Titan bubble and burn him down with solar weapons?? If so your a cheater .. So many people came and wined about that as a glitch that now burns have been removed ..

It's how the games played .. It's loadout .. They might change it to getting a kill instead of doing damage but they will have to buff that nearly useless grenade.. The Titan has his super orb loadout that everyone whined about .. The warlock has the bad juju obsidian mind .. You kill three guardians and your super is back kill three more and it's back keep on going .. So hunters shouldn't have a bad ass loadout?? Just Titans and warlocks ?? Ohh the warlocks have the ram .. They can regen full health with each melee blow, no matter what.. Should be ban those players too that just rush and punch and win that way?

They can buff it like they did scatter grenade, with an exotic. This isn't justifiable. The warlock and titan thing? those are perks and items working as intended. Swarm grenade is bugged when it comebines with Ashes to assets in a way that was never intended. Titan requires a communicating team to set up. Warlock.. well Nova Bomb isn't as powerful a killing too in PvP unless your in control and even then it's STILL not as effective as this. You get your super back from HITTING with the grenade, not achieving three kills. The Ram can be offset by the Feedback Fence, and you still instantly die to a backstab or shoulder charge, and is only usable once every 4 seconds, and you have to be in shotgun range. and still isn't anywhere close to on-demand golden gun.

How can you get banned for using perks Bungie actually put in-game?

The same way you get banned for leaving matchmaking in trials of osiris. It's abusing game mechanics to gain an unfair advantage.... Ie. Cheating

So stacking agility perks must be cheating too? This is something that Bungie should have identified in their quality assurance process to begin with.

You aren't really this dumb right? Stacking agility or using other functions of the game as they are intended is fair. Exploiting something that is broken because someone shared it with the world on reddit to gain an advantage in competitive pvp is cheating. You must not understand the concept of competition... have you ever played a sport? There were rules to the game.

You should be asking yourself if you're dumb to think Bungie didn't know this about their own perks. Perhaps you should be asking Bungie this and question some of their poor gaming design decisions.

I am simply playing the game the way it was released to me! If you have a problem with that then take it up with the game developer. Until bungie either patches it or publicly says "stop doing it until we fix it" i will continue to do it. When they realized people were backing out of trials to not get a loss, they stated basically now we know and if you do it anymore you will get punished. Same thing goes for this. They wont back-ban people. They will say we know about it so stop doing it. If more than half the people are going to keep head glitching in trials this week, then yeah watch out for my swarm grenade.

Then anyone who has run the bubble tactic needs to be banned. Its the same type of in game "glitch"! Anyone who opened the same ether chest more than once needs to be banned. It was an in game "glitch"! Anyone who climbed the tower or sword lunged past the bridge in crotas end needs to be banned. Its an in game "glitch"! Anyone who pushed atheon or the templar over the side needs to be banned. It was an in game "glitch"! Anyone who dashboarded when crota took a knee needs to be banned. It was an in game "glitch"! Do you see where I'm going with this? Deal with it until it gets fixed. Bungie is aware of it and they either don't care or they don't have a fix yet.

You're wrong. This is an exploit and not simply a glitch. Check out dictionary.com, it will provide some insight for you. First off. The perk is not working as intended with the grenade. Each hit with the grenade counts as a kill with the broken perk. Furthermore, each hit on dead bodies count as a kill as well. It's completely broken and abusing this exploit is considered cheating. If I see people using it then they will be reported for cheating. Stop using your failed logic to justify this type of exploiting. The fact is, people are using it to obtain an unfair advantage in ToO, destiny's competitive game mode. Because of this, people will be getting banned or restricted and having their trial gear be locked. If it was up to me it would be perma bans. No mercy for cheaters

Soooo because bungie didnt properly test there perk before releasing it and also has not said anything about using it being "illegal", I'm supposed to get perma-banned? Okay kiddo,Tell you what, when you hear the golden gun activate......run! Until bungie claims we shouldn't use it or they nerf thorn, watch those swarm grenades! Also, btw, if im dead when the swarms activate, the perk doesnt kick in. This tactic, which is all it is, is not always fool proof.

So by your logic you have decided FOR Bungie and the rest of the community that this is a glitch.. Without a doubt . It's cheating. No official statement needed from the designers,Devs or the OWNERS .. Your judging is all that's needed to for millions of players all over the word.. So what ever mood you wake up in the rest of the world should tremble and beg for mercy while bowing to your exalted judgment ..

So a simple google search will explain. I have posted for you off of Wiki: [b]In video games, an exploit is the use of a bug or glitches, game system, rates, hit boxes, or speed, etc. by a player to their advantage in a manner not intended by the game's designers. Exploits have been classified as a form of cheating[/b] Now that we have a clear understanding of what an exploit is lets look at the ashes to asset perk, the perk states: [b]Ashes to asset[/b] = [i]Replenish Super energy when you kill an enemy with a grenade[/i] So now lets look at how it works in game: When a grenade is thrown with the Ashes to asset perk, you receive more super energy when you kill another player or monster (~7% more). When used in conjunction with a swarm grenade, each individual shrapnel piece of that grenade hits an enemy and the game is counting as each [b]HIT [/b]instead as a [b]KILL[/b]. This means that one swarm grenade with all pieces of shrapnel connecting results in an instantly charged super. This is obviously not the intended use and a glitch which will be fixed in the short term. Again, using this in pvp is essentially gambling with a ban on your account. This is why it is broken and considered a glitch. If you knowingly abuse this glitch in competitive PVP your account is fair grounds for being banned according to Bungie's rules.

Big difference between pve and pvp, pvp it affects others. Which makes it an exploit.

You open the same ether chest 4 times and get a treasure key, i open the same chest 4 times and do not get a treasure key! You open the big chest at the end of prison of elders and get a gjallahorn. I cant open the chest because i didn't get a key! You just ruined my experience! That makes it an exploit. No one got banned, it just got fixed! Your turn!

This isn't a stupidity competition, of course everything has to some how involve the ghorn. Now compare that to unlimited supers with the swarm exploit. You just won the interwebs.
