THEORY The Original Crota's End Fireteam May Still be alive
Guys, so we all know that Eris Morn saw her whole fire team die, right? Well this theory debunks that. My theory is that Toland, Osiris, Xur, and The Speaker were all part of Eris's Fireteam. I know what your saying, "What about the 6th member?". Well this character could be released in a future DLC. Or, It could even be one of the Vanguard mentors. Or the Bounty tracker, but how? Remember that pic of the Frame holding the sniper rifle? After failing to kill Crota (or maybe it malfunctioned during the Raid) they got their gun rights revoked (if they did malfunction they could've have killed/fatally injured a Fireteam Member, such as Xur or The Speaker. That could be why we've never seen their faces). Another theory cans be That Dredgen Yor, was the 6th member. If you pay attention while ADSing with Thorn, it has a triangle on it that looks like the [i]String of Curses[/i] perk triangle (this could also prove that Toland and Dredgen Yor were allies. And that they turned on each other fusing their lives together, like [i]Harry Potter and Voldemort[/i] have their wands).

I don't know what ludicrous notion filled your head to get the idea that Speaker and Xur were apart of her fireteam "Eris Morn's fireteam consisted of 2 hunters ( Sai Mota and Omar Agah ) , 3 warlocks ( Eriana 3, Toland the Shattered and herself ) and one titan ( Vell Tarlowe ). Anyways... The fireteam reached the doors to Crota's Temple. Vell Tarlowe fell and was overwhelmed by hive and was killed by a witch named Verok. The fireteam continued on without him. In Crota's Temple, Sai Mota and Eriana 3 were separated from Eris Morn, Omar Agah and Toland the Shattered. Omar Agah became lost in the shadows and could not find Eris or Toland. They presumed that Omar had been captured and was killed. Sai Mota and Eriana 3 were hunting down Omnigul but were ambushed by Omnigul and other hive. Eriana and Sai killed most of the hive and Omnigul had appeared to have fled. Using acolyte's bones they began to climb a steep cliff to find cover. Eriana made it to the top of the cliff and Mota was following (almost to the top), when Omnigul reappeared and spotted Mota. Omnigul then shot at her and Mota fell to her death. Eriana 3 was driven with rage and attempted to kill the witch in a rage of fury. It is unknown exactly how, but she did not succeed and was killed by Omnigul. Eris Morn and Toland the Shattered then parted because Toland wanted to do find out more about the Deathsinger's song. Eris Morn stumbled upon Omar Agah, (thought to be dead) being tortured by a witch. His light was being stripped from him and was feeding the heart of Crota and other hive spawn. Eris was unable to save Omar and then began to try to find her way out of the hive tunnels, back to the surface. After many months, or even years, she finally escaped the tunnels of Crota's realm and arrived at the tower. •••Eris Morn's light was taken from her, giving her a dark appearance. From the strange liquids and gases in the hive tunnels she has transformed into the look of a hive creature, having 3 eyes and black veins. •••Toland the Shattered is still not known to be alive or dead. His location and condition are not known" I don't take credit for this All of these names are pulled from Grimore cards, most of which are the exalted Hive ones that came with TDB

The Fireteam consisted of Eris, Eriana-3, Toland, all Warlocks. Vell the Titan, and Sai Mota and Omar Agah, both hunters. On the mission: The wakening , Eris said "Few of us made it beyond the canyon. The rocks cracked apart. Hive waiting in ambush. It was worse for the one that made it inside." Grimoire Hive 2 says "At the doors to the Temple he fell for the last time. He fell, and I could not reach him." After reading the further into the Grimoire cards, since Vell is no longer in the reading when they enter the temple we can conclude that he died at the gates. At some after the entered, the group had to split up. Omar died and had his light ripped from him- Heart of Crota Grimoire. Sai Mota and Eriana-3 challenge Omnigul. "Mota was so close -- clawing her way out with bones torn from Acolytes. Her fall -- Omnigul. You honor her."- Hunter cloak I believe. In might of Crota Grimoire, Eris and Toland mention the Speaker, considering they called each other by name, none of them are the Speaker. So far, Eris, Eriana-3, and Toland were left. Toland was interested in the Deathsinger, but it is unclear if he died, he could have just wandered off on his own. In the end Eris and Eriana-3 were left to face Crota, which also unclear of what happened. Dredgen Yor real name is never pronounced in the grimoire cards so it is possible he was one of the two hunters. He is said to have died on Mars but his weapon is found in the summoning pits?

Toland was exiled for experimenting with hive rituals, Osiris fate is unknown but after the queen says to send a crow to mercury after Skolas is interrogated I believe he's been researching a connection between the Hive and Vex, as the queen also says to inform our new friend at the Tower as well. Eris came to her with the Speaker to ask for her help and to "end Oryx" (Queen 2 Grimoire).

3 RepliesI'm sorry bro, but read the grimoire. Your theory is way off :( And read in-game descriptions. The Titan at the start of the dark beyond? The "[i]We've woken the hive![/i] one? Yeah. He was one of the 6. Toland was another. Eriana was one, and so was Eris.

This doesn't have much backing... Everyone was confirmed dead by the lore except for Toland, he's just said not to have left Crota's realm. That could very well mean he's alive, just changed. Read the weapons of sorrow and Toland's attempt from this link, that explains Dredgen Yor's involvement with Crota. If you read the grimoire cards, you'll learn that some of them most definitely died. However, others like Osiris and Toland remain a mystery. Toland is presumed dead, but he was exiled from the city for experimenting with and embracing the darkness itself, possibly meaning that the hive saw him as on of their own. And Osiris' fate is uncertain, but his cult is obviously still active and at large, something that may not be achievable without a leader.

6 RepliesThe titan is dead at least, that's the body that you find during the first moon mission. One of the eris items mentions the name of the wizard that killed the titan. In the first moon mission that's the name of the wizard that you kill.
