From what this shows, Rasputin is an enigma code that the guardians have to crack in order to find out the true fate of humanity. Though every one else such as the hive, fallen and cabal, (possibly the Vex) are trying to crack it for his vast array of weapons.

Close, but it is more likely that the concrete knowledge behind the brevity terms Rasputin uses has been lost due to the collapse. Think of the code words more as an efficiency device than an encryption code. The words in CAPS are likely brevity terms designed to reduce message transmission times and bandwidth requirements.

An enigma code... That's a nice way of looking at it!

Thanks man. I just heard about the enigma code used in WW2 used by Germany, the "uncrackable" code that was figured out.
