And it's pretty much bang on the money.
We don't realise how good we have it today, with our universal right to vote, for people of colour and women to not be treated as possessions, but instead as equals, brothers and sisters.
I honestly cannot comprehend the current trend amongst our sub-culture to revile and threaten people asking for a fair chance in the world. For a global group supposedly accepting of all outsiders, as many of us are treated by our own workmates, classmates, or families, many of us are shockingly, disgustingly hostile to anyone who dare question the status quo of our world seeking the same acceptance and opportunities as we do amongst our fellow geeks.
Look in the mirror. Know that you are loved by many on this site. Now, if you aren't already, imagine you're female: imagine the sexism and attention you may not necessarily want. Imagine that you aren't your username and personality on here, but simply your body. Many don't care about your actual opinion, as long as you post a selfie.
And millions of women in the Third World face that struggle outside too, in the real world, where every leer, slur, denial is more immediate, intrusive, real.
Next time you, the chap, are about to type the word 'feminazi', just stop and think: she's just a woman who wants what you want for yourself. Is that a problem?

They're trying to make woman superior over men & if you don't think that, you're blind. Laws for man are transparent compared laws for woman. They constantly get screwed over in every single matter. Woman want equality, that's a nice joke. When is the last time a woman was forced to sign up to be drafted when they turned 18? What about losing custody over their child when they weren't fit to be the guardian? What about being charged for domestic violence against a man? What about being charged for r@pe against a man? Though these things may occur, it's not as frequent as it is for men. Also when a woman accused a man of these things, no proof needs to be provided. I have so many friends that have gotten they're children taken away, even though the mother clearly wasn't a good parent. I also have friends that have gotten felonies because their gf accused him of domestic violence, no questions were asked & he went to jail for [b]3 years.[/b] Even when a man clearly has sold proof accusing a woman of these things, the trial is still drawn out & in most cases the woman is let go. Also I am thankful for each and every woman that fought for the rights I have today, without them things would usually be horrible for woman in today's society. But the thing is, feminism isn't needed in first world countries anymore. There is not one thing that a man has, that we don't. If anything, clearly we have not than men do. If you take a look at the video, it outlines what feminist fight for today. Clearly these things are not important, but feminist ignore the things that are & push importance into these useless causes. Third world countries are in dire need of help, but do these problems get attention? I am all for equality, but sorry to burst your bubble, feminism isn't equality.

What they need is to round up the insane amount of pervs who are super sexist and lock them up, then they should slap the faces of any women who is striving for her feminism when her feminism is just power. Feminism in first world countries is a result to -blam!- and sexual abuse on the Internet. Guys are just way too thirsty online and honestly it's sickening. Learn some courtesy and manners please. That will very much so shorten the amount of "oppression" that these women face. Both the women who want to stop the oppression and the men who just want nudes are a prime example of some of the bad shit in this world.

3 RepliesFeminism has done some great things for women over the years, and at its core I totally agree and support it. However, I've seen terrible amounts of hate toward men coming from a lot of feminists under the notion that "it's not sexism cuz sexism=power+prejudice. I also can't stand the free the nipple campaigns or slūt walks because imo feminists and other organizations should be helping women and children in third world countries first. What's more important to feminists right now? Infant Chinese girls getting killed in preference to boys, or walking around topless. I'm sure there's people fighting it, but I've seen more #freethenipple on Twitter and Instagram then #saveinfantchinesegirls. I just can stand when people claiming to be about equality of the sexes bitch and complain about stupid non problems when there are plenty of [b][i]real oppressed women[/i][/b] in other third world countries that should be getting more attention then #manspreading or #fatacceptance.

The sentences are exactly the same. There are entire threads where you try to guess if a sentence was said by a feminist or a naz1. Feminists rhetoric is nothing more than a different type of naz1 rhetoric. They are not for equality.

Most people also don't believe that women are oppressed. My view is that it is obvious that feminism is just a cop out for white female liberals who want to be able to call themselves oppressed so they can support social justice without having to eliminate their own power and privileges in society. It's a fucking power grab. And guess who's up for election in 2016?

Third World feminist movement? I am all for that. They are being discriminated on a daily basis in the Middle East, India, and other countries. First world? That's funny. Perhaps it's just me, but I have yet to see a single first world feminist movement direct attention to where the [i]real[/i] discrimination is taking, and where the "Patriarchy" is actually a thing. Seriously though, if a group has, link me to them.

Last time I checked I'm not a narcissistic sociopath bent on banning free speech and don't fight to impose cultural marxism by hiding behind political correctness. How are women in first world countries discriminated against? I don't see any of these so called feminists fighting for the rights of the poor women in places like the middle east. Places like that actually do need feminism, but you rarely hear them talking about anything but "free muh nipplz" and "too many men in gaming".

Some people will treat you different because of who you are. Yes theres still some prejudice, there always will be. But in a developed country the government wont tell you what you can and cant do no matter who you are. A girl can do or say anything i can. The reaction might be different from some people but that doesn't diminish there ability to say or do whatever. Thats equality.

The whole point of this movement is not to go against equality for men or women or to forget the accomplishments other feminists made decades ago, but to fight what many think is a tainted version of feminism, being the "modern" one. Feminism has become a loaded and tainted term that to many no longer embodies a struggle for equality between the sexes, but targets things that are generally non-issues and sometimes even advocate blatant misandry. None of these people are actually against an equal treatment of men and women. They are against the current and tainted group of "feminists" who want special privileges, who feel that men should feel guilt and pay for what they've done, who try to silence any criticism and blame any misfortune on the evil and misogynist patriarchy, who ignore double standards when they exist in their favor and who neglect issues of importance while focusing on incredibly horrible practices such as manspreading and stareraping. People don't use the term "feminazi" to describe a woman who wants a fair treatment or equality. They use them to describe the Tumblr crowd who think they deserve monetary compensation to treat their PTSD because a cis male rapist pig was undoubtedly raping and oppressing her by holding the door open that one time. And yes, most people are aware that this is a (small) minority of self proclaimed feminists who are like that. But it's still enough to taint an entire movement. The term "feminism" is already loaded in its own and has more or less been appropriated by the abovement crazies who really couldn't give two shits about real equality as long as they can complain about minor things and fuel their beliefs that they are a special snowflake being oppressed by the patriarchy. The people of this campaign aren't against what feminism has accomplished. They're not against further seeking equality. They're simply against what "modern feminism" has become.
