To all those who don't have a Gjallarhorn
First off let me say I feel very sorry for you guys. The LFG site has pretty much blocked all new content and raids (more of Crota than VoG) from all of those who don't have this rocket launcher. I'm just here to say don't give up on it! Remember there are countless ways to drop this gun, and incase there are some you haven't done yet, here's all I can list off the top of my head!
Prison of Elders: From large chest and very small chance for end game rewards
Crota's End: 2 exotic drops. Deathsinger and Crota
Vault of Glass: Another 2 exotic drops. Gorgon chest and Atheon
Nightfall: One shot per character!
Vanguard Dragon/Crucible: Kinda okay choices but I have seen insane drops from both of these since HoW dropped. Really worth your time if you want to grind out Gjallarhorn
Daily Heroic: Won't drop an Exotic, but has a chance for a legendary engram.
And if you are dying for gjallarhorn. ....
Chest Farming: This does have a chance for Legendary Engrams (5 in one hour was my best run) plus more Treasure Keys for more exotic chances from Prison of Elders
Trials of Osiris: As far as I know going 9-0 takes you to the Lighthouse, and the chest there has an Exotic drop chance.
Now let's say you have 3 characters who can do all of these activities. That is 15 Exotic Drop chances! Not counting the fact you can endlessly grind out Crucible, Strikes, and Prison of Elders. Don't forget those Legendary Engram drops either (got 1 gjallarhorn and 2 thunderlord from daily and chest farming)
Keep grinding Guardians! Don't lose hope, you will get Gjallarhorn in due time!
Edit: Trials packages can award exotics! ! Keep grinding guardians!

I have gotten 2+ of every single RNG exotic except for Hawkmoon. Please Bungie, give a man his Hawkmoon.

2 RepliesI never had gally while doing crota and the LFG sites never blocked me from the content. I did crota once a week on both my characters until I got the armor I needed and upgraded. When I would go onto the recruitment sites I would maybe se 2 or 3 outta 10 post about crota looking for gally or tracking rockets, I never had hunger either. I would just move onto the next post and would find a group no problem. The time it takes people to come on here an bitch about being excluded they could've found a group that doesn't require said launchers to do end game activities with.

1 Reply... and none of these actually changes the probability of a drop. It just means that you are more likely to be swimming in shards and materials.

I did not have a Gjallarhorn from day one through the dark below. I was able to do everything I needed without it. I was lucky enough to find great friends that I still play with daily and never cared. Out of 8 of us, only 3 had Gjallarhorn and we got through everything. I finally got my first one at the end of May. Since then I've had 4 others drop. It's an OP weapon. It's a timesaver. It's a luxury. It is not a necessity. The issue here IMO is just that people suck. Rather than exclude people, why not help them? At this point in the game, I still do both raids weekly, and when I do, it's usually with 3 noobs. I think it's fun to help others and hear their excitement when they get stuff for the first time.

2 RepliesIve never booted or blocked someone for not having it. Ive never seen anyone who was at max level and had a max rocket launcher get booted for not having it either. Besides they're nerfing it so who cares..

I got mine last night at deathsinger normal. Wolfpack rounds in 4 hours. When you stop worrying about it that's when you get it. I literally said when doing it "Why am I doing this? Gally is being nerfed and this isn't fun." Then I got it.

I have been using lfg sites for a lot of completions and not once was i kicked or asked to leave because i didn't have a gjally.

this is why I stopped using/don't ask for people to have gjallarhorn on any lfg, it blocks out those poor people who haven't been lucky enough to obtain it. and I like taking those others through, it's normally more fun instead of everyone insisting "ghorn spam this guy until he dies"

ToO gold packages can't award exotics but the silver does, and has a drop rate of ~25% too

I got 2 truths this week. 1 from nightfall and 1 from crucible. I created a third character just so my chances of getting the jellyhorn are increased. Gotta keep grinding I guess.

I got mine from Hard mode Deathsinger, CE Raid Crucible, top on scoreboard Nightfall, two manned. Most kills.

I got mine two weeks ago in the vog exotic chest, I was going to keep it secret until I had it maxed but the next week I got another one and then it was out
