Strategies to beat Qodron, under-levelled and without Gjallarhorn

Original title: "Is it even possible to beat Qodron at lvl 33 without Gjallarhorn spam?!" The answer to the question is yes. Yes you can. Originally I posted about how I was struggling to beat Qodron on level 34 as a level 33 warlock without Gjallarhorn, and I asked the community how they managed to beat Qodron under those same circumstances. Many of your answers and suggestions were awesome and very helpful. Tonight I finally accomplished my goal and laid waste to Qodron. So I want to share the methods my fireteam used. Also, note that this week's modifier was "Trickle," which slows your ability cooldowns by what seems like 200-300%. Worst possible scenario. Our Game Cover We camped out in the back left corner of the room, crouching behind the crates next to the pillar we suffered some splash damage now and then, but moving around kept Qodron from spamming us with it. Mobs approached gradually from the left and right. Mostly hobgoblins, a few harpies, and Qodron's Eye. They usually just trickled in around the crates from in front (not from the hall to our right), so we could usually hit them hard with the shotguns before they became a serious problem. We pretty much ignored all mobs unless they came around to attack us. It's also pretty easy to hit Qodron's Eye, although 20% of the time we could not find him in time to get the Jailbreaker buff. Read below for how we handled those situations. Loadouts We had a level 34 Hunter, 34 Titan, and 33 Warlock. But after figuring out our strategy, we could probably have done it with all level 33's. Nobody had a Gjallarhorn. Each of us had a long-range primary, a shotgun and legendary rocket launcher. We had two scout rifles and one Thorn. Scout rifle users ran with Invective. I found myself using rockets for emergency mob cleanup, like when three elite hobgoblins and a couple harpies charge you all at once. Strategy Sometimes the best offense is a good defense. (Unless you have Gjallarhorn. Then the best offense is Gjallarhorn.) We played it very safe. We used shotguns and rockets to protect us from mobs and detainment fields, keeping a steady stream of primary fire on Qodron whenever possible. The biggest problem is taking down Qodron's Eye consistently so you can keep your team alive to do as much damage to Qodron as possible. One great tip we heard was to shoot the Eye's head off, forcing him to charge right into your shotgun. Worked more than half the time we tried it. But sometimes that didn't work out. Sometimes we killed him too early, or not in time, and sometimes we couldn't even find him. We found a couple great solutions for when we couldn't find/kill Qodron's Eye in time. 1. Use a super. More importantly, save your super as your get-out-of-jail-free card. Golden Gun, Fist of Havoc, and Fireborn (after death) were all useful for getting out of detainment fields. 2. We had a habit of always leaving one guardian down when possible, just in case we couldn't kill the Eye in time. We would just sit next to the fallen teammate, wait to be detained, and revive him as we shot at the detainment fields. 3. Brute force shotgun. If all of us were alive without a super charged, we could all sit right next to each other, point our shotguns in the same direction (we chose the wall behind us) and try to all hit the same field, we usually saved two of us that way. So basically we always had at least one man down on purpose as the ultimate fail safe against that fickle Eye. We killed the Eye about 50% of the time, using the revive and brute-force methods as needed. Primary weapons did plenty of damage over time, and ammo was plentiful due to mobs charging in now and then. It took us about 45 minutes to complete. Anyway, that's how we did it. I really appreciate all the tips you guys offered. Let me know what you guys think about our strategy, and feel free to offer any suggestions or tips in the comment section.
