There are alot of gamer labels being thrown around. Here's a break down of what I tend to see.
Consumer/Casual: I treat games like I do music, movies or any other entertainment media. I play the ones I like and make sure to buy the ones my friends have so we can have a blast together. I run around doing whatever I feel like doing. To H3LL with builds and kdr's I'm here to have fun and that's the bottom line.
Competitor: Rising above the masses the whole point of my game is to git gud, and I will. Even when running solo I make sure to remain competitive within my social circle. My name may not always appear at top of the leader boards and I'm not exactly a speed runner, but I always give as good as I get. My trash talk is decidedly good natured and teabags will be forthcoming when I manage to salvage a win from a potential loss.
Elitist: I'm focused and Borderline obsessed. Git in my way and I'll show you exactly why you're just a Scrub. I troll the Web preying on those beneath me. I use only the best weapons and most efficient strategies. If it's OP, I abuse the fk out of it. If it's broken, I'll use it to break you. I exist in a world with stringently defined lines and if you cross one of them, you're history.
Elite: No time for trolling, I've got my eyes set on that prize money. My Beta tests are streamed live and you may recognize my gamer tag from the latest Turny. I'm absolutely lethal with all available weapons and have plans laid out for every conceivable build. If I can't find a worthy opponent to spar with I often handicap myself in order to stay sharp and hone my base skill set. Broken sword hilt or pea shooter, it doesn't matter, I always find a way to win.
So which title is closest to your style? Feel free to add to or amend anything I've listed.
Update: Dispite what some players may say, Casual does not automatically equate to Scrub. I know casuals who rek face in one genre or another. Also the upper levels of Competitor mirror those in Elitist. The main diffrence between them being attitude, mindset and overall goal.
Update 2: All of these titles can be applied to Solo or PvE content. The Race to be the First Fireteam to complete the VoG was a very big deal. When MGSV Launches gamers will be racing to be the very first to complete the game with Zero Deaths, Zero Alerts, Zero Fatalities,100% items...etc.
Competitor PvE and Elite Solo respectively.

Edited by Muted: 9/13/2015 5:27:05 PMGame God: Becoming one with the game itself. Live. Breathe. Feel. Nothing but the game. Incubated in the lifestream of obsession towards the virtual experience that has now taken over your life. You now thrive in the endless paradox of time, shifting paradigms between skill, trolling, and elitism. You are the one; you are the true, God of your own game.
OP..add this to your list lol
