Should we continue to play on Last Gen?
So I'm relatively new to Destiny, playing on 360 as I haven't had the cash to upgrade just yet. But it's clear that there are a lot of issues, and a lot of hype on the forums surrounding matchmaking for PoE and ToO and the like, which got a "our way or the highway" response from Deej, which makes it pretty obvious;
[b]That Bungee won't accept this as a problem, or know it is, and are keeping something from us. [/b]
Which makes me wonder exactly why?
And then a thought occurs;
[b]That Bungee do not find it feasible to double the amount of matchmaking servers, as Last Gen content is at its maximum capacity. [/b]
But all of this is assumption A I get to my main point. With such demands, there are already hints that past gen can't keep up and the important question is this;
Will we see a continued promised 10 year plan for Last Gen, if already there are struggles with the current content? And will i eventually find in another 1 or 2 Dlc's time that I suddenly won't get any more? And have to start all over again on next Gen?..... And subsequently have to re-buy all of my Dlc's?
A response would be appreciated Bungee.

1 ReplyThere is no way this game will last 10 years on last gen. By then PSN and xbox live will be discontinued for these consoles, leaving you unable to play the game.

Currently, but without a doubt Destiny II will be PS4/Xbox One only, which should make for some amazing additions based off of hardware alone.

Yeah my experience with PoE Has been shocking. I get kicked from 3/4 matches, usually around round 3 or 4. It's definitely been worse since HoW dropped. It's a shame as I enjoy a the different game mode. Just the servers letting it down.

I've had an Xbox one for a while but I've been waiting to see if HoW was any good before I bought the new version. On the 360 I would get dropped like crazy. Worse server issues I've ever had have been on Destiny for the 360. It doesn't help that there aren't many players on last Gen anymore. Good luck finding people to play the Prison of Elders with you. Edit: By the way, Destiny for Xbox one just went in sale at Toys R Us. You can pick it up for $20. The graphics improvement and better servers are worth it, in my opinion.
