Why? If you want to play with your friends, just do that. Why force everyone else to go through the step of finding other players who are random and who you will likely never play with again? That's exactly what matchmaking does, so why force us to do it manually? Sorry, I'm just not seeing any reason not to add matchmaking. Maybe you have a good reason.
