What Elitists Think of Noobs in the Trials!!!
First of all - no, this is not a "Guide to Trials."
I've read ridiculous posts about people complaining about the Lighthouse and how "difficult" it is to get there. It's not hard at all. I've been playing PvP since the Alpha (check my medal score) and have been good at it (check my K/D). Well, Control isn't up to par due to Iron Banner, though.
Anyhow, as for the people Crying about it - there's two ways to look at it.
1.) All the people who want Xur to sell Ghorn. This is us PvP players saying, "No! You don't get an easy way out!" You either EARN it or don't! Suck it up! You can't cheese your way to nine straight wins.
2.) This is the PvP Raid. PvE kids got Crota, Atheon, & Skolas! We got one, too. …and it's the hardest raid in the game.
I don't feel sorry for the people who can't do it. They don't DESERVE it. They didn't EARN it. There are two things that give me great satisfaction in Trials!!! I will share them with you.
1.) In order for me (and my team of two others) to make it to the Lighthouse, we had to beat nine teams of three. 9-0. Because of us, twenty-seven people were rejected from the Lighthouse this week - at minimum! Us three are of more importance to this community (PvP wise) so WE were chosen in the stead of those we had beeten. Get this - WE'RE NOT DONE!!! Yup. We can still go in there and farm for gear!!! My team has done this on all their characters and we've started new ones! How many times have we seen, "So & so has completed their Trial" after we just stomped them. No gear for you. I'm STILL hungry.
2.) Atheon was weak.
Crota was weak.
Even Skolas was weak.
We beat them all! Even PvE kids beat them.
But in Trials, I AM THE RAID BOSS!!! You don't chase me - I chase YOU. I have the skill, along with my team to ensure hundreds - MAYBE THOUSANDS don't see that Lighthouse this week! I don't see us losing once - let alone THREE times in a single weekend! We (and fiends like us) own Trials!!! Hahahahaha!!!
Oh, the spoils of a hard-earned victory are ever-so delightful.
See you next week! I'll need gear, competition, and a fresh plate of scrubs. Meanwhile I'll be lurking in Skirmish, Rumble, or Clash… muwhahahahaha…

VoG was only hard when people were at forever 29. You'd be lucky if you had more lvl 30s than 29s. Now it's just too easy.

Hard earned? Maybe one or three. All? Doubt it. I sailed threw 6 wins as a hunter. But due to a team of (all) self resurrecting people that streak was cut short.

I agree with this. I am not good player in PvP but I like this tournament because when I am trying to kill players who can easy reach lighthouse it is very good experience for me and when I am playing more and more with them my skills starting to be better and better. One lose was a carry over before I replaced a team member and the other came due to the other team lagging out. Light house or not, it felt good and sad to see someones trial passage was complete and you were the one that shut it down. Its not about being an ass, its about knowing you survived to fight another fight, and the other guy didn't.

I agree with this,Just because you haven't made it to the lighthouse doesn't mean that Trials is 'unfair' or 'stupid'. Iv been a PVE based player for a while and only started participating in Iron banner recently and I love it! I think Trials is a great PVP experience and finally people who are good at PVP get rewarded for there skills. Congrats OP,good work.
