Let me just start by saying this post was inspired by my love for this game; specifically, I love how I'm still learning new things about Destiny after months of playing it. But I found one thing that I would like some clarification on/help with.
I was doing the Queen's Wanted Bounty in Skywatch on Earth, when I happened to walk through the cave that gives you the option to "Disturb the Remains." I've listened to that message several times, and I can make out "Get enough... for Master Rahool," if my ears aren't deceiving me.
I'm assuming tons of you have found this already. I know, I'm way late on this, and I think that's kind of funny, considering I have about 150 hours of gameplay under my belt. But can anyone tell me exactly what I'm supposed to do with the message from the remains/if there's some reward that's worth getting from it, or something?
Thanks for reading. Happy gaming.
Edit: Got it now, thanks.

The former Loot Cave, in all it's glory!

Take solace in the fact that none of the responders know the real joke here: if you ever read the classic sci-fi novel DUNE its a reference to a passage in that book "Yueh! Yueh! A million deaths were not enough for Yueh!" - someone at Bungie has a keen wit. Ive been playing since day1 but never knew about the loot cave and stumbled on that after Dark Below came out...wondered the same thing as you....have fun!

Lol 150 hours

Edited by korg_thekronan: 5/22/2015 7:02:33 PM"A million deaths are not enough for Master Rahool." It refers to the first Loot Cave, a thing where you shot at unsupecting acolytes and thralls for loot. It was patched a week after. Also, Master Rahool is the Cryptarch of the Tower. ~Translated from Fallen language

Isn't it funny how all the best farms come from Skywatch? Lol

Love this game also what I don't love are all the ass bags who post comments like "look a kindergaurdian" and proclaim that if YOU don't know every little detail about the game then you are inferior to them.
-
150 hours? are you a cinco day mayo noob or sumin? only non noob's have experienced what that message refers to. it was the original "loot cave" where people would kill hive for hours straight as they spawned to get a handful of blue engrams (maybe a purple if you were lucky) to turn into rahool for green items or worse.
-
150 hrs isnt a lot

When destiny was about 2 months old people for board of doing strikes over and over again so they sat back where the Warsat spawns in and shot the enemies that spawned. Before it was patched they spawned every 15 seconds after they where all killed. Just sitting their and killing them for about an hour dropped enough engrams for a chance at a legendary. Soon budgie put up a patch the lengthened the spawn time and put that their as a testament to hours apon hours of farming and even hundreds of YouTube videos.
-
TL;DR Back in the day everyone farmed the cave for embalms to hand back to The Cryptarch. Bungi fixed it and left that Easter egg in its place.
-
Back when destiny was brand new off the shelves, that same cave you see the remains in was the very first loot cave people used. People used to get blue and purple engrams. Maybe even a yellow one to at most 10 people. BUNGIE patched it and kinda put that there to remind us that Rahool is an asshole and we'll Never get anything good. Nothing more, nothing less.
-
A million deaths is not enough for Master Rahool...
-
It was a long time ago when the game first came out. We guardians could not get enough engrams to get that light level up and thus we farmed WE FARMED WE FARMED For hours and hours in front of that cave Popping caps like no tomorrow PEW PEW PEW It was not long before we got the attention of The Architects They Analysed the issue Realising their mistake with enemy spawn times And proceeded to changeit We were devasted The change in spawn times had let to the downfall of the almighty loot cave The loot cave was NO MOREDUN DUN DUN All that laid there to remember us of this great battle between us and the hive was... "Hold X to Disturb Remains"
-
Lol. I have to say I was one of those that spend hours on that cave.
-
Wow. Just wow.
-
I audibly "awwwww"'d at this. That's been there for MONTHS! After they patched the loot cave (which was right there), Bungie decided to have a little fun with it. Basically, guardians would stand on a rock directly across from it (where the warsat drops) and snipe the hell out of the bad guys that would respawn pretty much every four seconds. People were spending more time doing that - myself included - rather than playing the game because it was seen as an easy way to get engrams. So, Bungie patched it and put a little joke in there because that's what Bungie does.
-
Edited by Benny: 5/22/2015 5:37:23 PMIt is what was the Loot Cave. A spawn cave that the timer was at 6 seconds vs the usual 40 seconds. People would stand out around the cave kill the endless horde of enemies that came out of the cave for loot. It was patched and the remains were left. When you disturb them it says; "A million souls are not enough for Mast Rahool" or something along those lines.
-
It's a joke from bungie. Pretty funny actually.
-
I love how most people talk about the loot cave like it was a Great War between the hive and guardians
-
Lol the original loot cave *tears up* My, how things have changed..
-
Its a shrine too the Loot Cave from back in destinys infancy.
-
It says a million deaths are not enough for master rahool
-
I miss performing a dance inspired performance of the moonlight sonata in the cave and watch guardians lose their shit. Glorious.
