Calling all Hunters!

I've put 600-700+ hours into a Warlock. I then started playing a Titan, deleted my main Warlock to make 2 Titans and never looked back that was months ago. Now I want a secondary character. I remade my Warlock and started using Hunter. I think the Hunter is pretty cool. It just has this cool vibe to it. In PVP Hunters are pretty good. It's just as enjoyable as my shoulder charging, fistful of lightning Titan in PVP. However in PvE I'm at a loss. I don't feel all that powerful. When comes to smaller enemies I dispatch then very quickly with the combination of precision weapons and throwing knives, quick and easy one shots. But when it comes to things more powerful, I don't feel that great. It also feels like I can't appropriately support my team against difficult enemies aswell. Golden Gun is good on majors or ultras if I pop a few sniper shots into them first, but what's the point if 2 or 3 more shots would've killed him anyway. Any tips guys?

  • Hunters aren't really meant to deal lots of damage. Our most powerful grenade is a tripmine. Gunslingers are meant to keep their distance from enemies. Throwing knives, a ranged super, and grenades that must be perfectly thrown. A scout rifle, sniper, and rocket launcher go best with the gunslinger subclass. Golden Gun isn't meant to do damage, but finish off enemies and create orbs. Save it in PvE when yellow health enemies are near death. BladeDancer is an up close and personal subclass. Grenades can take out multiple enemies that are nearby doing little to no damage to you. When cornered, use your grenades as an escape. You could also use the blink strike to escape. The arc blade isn't good against powerful enemies or create orbs, but it's good for weak mobs or when you are cornered and low on health. Using the hungering blade (I think it's called) will restore health upon kills. You also aren't able to take much damage and you're slow to heal, but it's easier to evade incoming bullets. Gunslinger triple jump works best in my opinion. We are also the best suited for reviving teammates. Going invisible is of course the best solution, but it doesn't last long without the perk to extend its duration. So I improvise, but this is just me with every class. Hold the revive button with my index finder, thumb on the right analog stick, and my middle and ring finger are on the shoot and melee buttons. I can turn around and fire or melee now if anything shows up. I adapted this while playing as a hunter because I always died while reviving.
