I think it's simpler than that. The symptoms he has shown has lead me to believe this man is suffering from a Skyrim overdose. Treatments include going outside or talking to a girl. Either one will suffice, but Skyrim abuse is a slippery slope. It's not hard for the user to move to stronger games like World of Warcraft.
