Why do people cheese the bridge at crota?
So I have ran crota several times now but never has anybody even mentioned not cheesing the bridge. Last night me and my clan decided to do it normally for a laugh and it didn't take much longer than cheesing and, in my opinion, was a lot more fun.
So tell me, why do you cheese it?

Did the bridge legit several times and ZzZz You like doing the bridge legit 3 times a week and you think it is fun. I really don't find this raid "fun" like I did VoG let alone do it 3 times every week for those of you who have 3 characters like me. A simple way to solve your problem is to get a consistent raid group who is intent on doing it legit. Cheesing it is quicker and you can try to say the opposite to convince people to go to your side but the fact remains. You may have had a good raid group that did it legit and executed it flawlessly and you may have encountered a random group of scrubs who were so bad that them cheesing it took much longer than your other team that did it legit. That isn't the cheeses fault it is the ability of your team to work together.

3 RepliesI think the bridge was a fairly poorly designed mechanic. Cheesing is easier, note I don't say faster, but it is easier.

No chemistry with lfg groups... It just makes things simpler. It is fun to do legit though

I'm so bored of CE that I try to get it done as quickly as possible. (Only run it to help friends out). It's so easy to just grab the sword and jump across on my Titan while warlocks Rez/ppl jump on top the tower.

I am limited in my game time, but still want to do the raid so I do it for speed sake.

I cheese it on Hard because it's quicker, sure if my entire fireteam is experienced, I'll do it. But on Hard, it's just quicker. Also, I always legit it on Normal. It's easy

Laziness in my experience with randoms. With raid group always legit. It is more fun.

A lot like to use an excuse about how "it's so much faster" but it's not much faster if at all. A good group of raiders that all know how to do it legit will finish that the bridge pretty damn quick.

I always try and get people to do it legit, but no one wants to admit that they havent got a clue how it works. Most people have been cheesing it from the beginning so never actually learned how to do it in the first place. The few times I have got groups to do it its usually about thirty seconds before the first annihilator totem goes off and everyone gets angry and goes back to cheesing. Its a shame because its the only part of the raid that shows any kind of inventiveness or introduces a new mechanic.
