Obviously the Prison of Elders is a long, difficult task that takes a lot of time and a lot of attempts to do. A lot of us don't have the time to sit and play Destiny for an hour or two without having to get up and do something, and AFKing isn't an option because we'll be kicked to orbit. We need checkpoints in each round (not wave) of Prison of Elders.
Sign here if you agree.
Edit:
Reasons why I want it and why other people do too-
1. Time
2. Connectivity issues
3. Aggravation
4. Boredom
Issues with checkpoints-
1. People stealing them to get loot quicker
2. Quickly getting to the end on other characters by getting the checkpoint on that character
Edit 2:
Here's an equation of the minimum and average amount of time it will take to complete the Prison of Elders-
Each wave is a minimum of one and a half minutes long, and there are three waves in a round. That means each round takes about five minutes to complete IF you get it done on the first try.
There are five rounds, and since each round takes a minimum of five minutes, the entire Prison of Elders will take a minimum of roughly 25 minutes IF you complete every round on the first try.
However, not all people will get it done in the minimum amount of time, so let's say each wave is around 3 minutes. That means each round is 9-10 minutes IF it is completed on the first try. Most people can't do that, so let's say they do each round in two tries, and let's say they failed the first try in the last round, so take off five minutes. That's 15 minutes for each round, meaning the entire Prison of Elders for most people will take 75 minutes to complete, which is a whole hour of doing nothing but playing video games.
Edit 3:
The obligatory "WE'RE IN TRENDING" edit that I dislike.
Edit 4:
The obligatory 100 comments milestone edit that I despise. Ninety percent of those comments are negative.
Edit 5:
Some people are arguing that people would just use the checkpoint to skip most of it. An easy fix to this is making it so you can not join a checkpoint that is higher than your own. Simple.
Edit 6:
Who Necrobump'd this?

Bump. I've been kicked twice just this week, once on the boss, when I had the best gear and was carrying the team, one 33 too. All so a f-ing Titan could join, like that would really make a difference. A checkpoint system would allow me to join other players who had competed the first 4 rounds, and prevent someone from simply skipping to the end.
-
to avoid cheating and t bagging, the check points should be individuals, so if you don´t reach skollas for example, you can join a team to fight against him until you complete all the rounds. this way
-
-
It's easy give us our damn checkpoints but use whoever has the earliest checkpoint in the fireteam to prevent people from joining at the end or stealing checkpoints
-
I'm totally for this. Bungie please add this.
-
-
Yes please yes!
-
-
No checkpoints!
-
Glad for no checkpoints... No one offering saves in the forum, and no member in the fire team asking to wait so they can change characters to keep the save point... Oh by the way... I don't belive that anyone that plays videogames don't have 70 minutes to play in a full week... Even when i had 2 Jobs i Would get one night i could play 4 or 5 straight hours

Edited by tictaktwonk: 5/9/2015 8:00:43 PMI do think we should get drops for completing a fall round like you would for completing a section of the raid.

I expect to die. I expect to spend a lot of time doing this. If you want something easy to do go patrol. We need aggravating hard content

Edited by Ne0nK0ala: 5/9/2015 11:33:32 PMThere's a reason there's no checkpoints, it is supposed to be a horde mode, there's no checkpoints in a horde mode as with them it is no longer a horde mode. On top of that, there's no rewards before the end, as such people will just use checkpoints to get to further levels, and yes you could use the argument you provided, however that isn't how the game works currently, that would require a huge change in the way it does, bungie wants you to do it with a full pre-selected team, the whole way through. Play when you have time, if you don't have time don't play.

I'm not taking a side here, I'm just saying I understand the logic with the way the loot system works.
-
They should have function in place if you whole team gets disconnected. If you get disconnected you have one hour get back in and start from the last spot you was. You also must have your orginal team to start from that checkpoint.
-
You're an idiot. And those updates aren't obligatory, get a life.
-
If you don't have a SINGLE HOUR to spare then don't play video games. Simple.
-
No. Stop sucking. Stop getting the gorgon chest CP asswipe.
-
If you're on PS4 add me: DestinysKhilafah. However is it possible to invite people back if they get kicked? If you can then that's fine. Otherwise I don't want any checkpoints on PoE.

Seriously..? Its not even out yet!!!! At lest let it get out of the gate before making stink over things!

A No from me.
