Have you ever helped noobs while on patrol?
I was on my way to the gate lord mission and saw 4 players struggling to form the spire. They were levels 26 to 28 and it looked like they were new at it. I held the right sync plate for them while two held the middle and two held the left. Well after about 15 minutes of them dying, we finally formed it. I waved to them as they entered the vault, and felt good about helping fellow guardians in our fight against the darkness. Then I rode off towards my mission.
[spoiler]I knew they were all dead as soon as they reached the confluxes, but it was still fun helping them.[/spoiler]

In Old Soviet Russia, you don't help noobs, noobs help you! But, seriously, I love giving them a hand. It makes you feel better knowing that there is a person there with no experience playing with their version of a pro, when rocking full legendary & exotic gear, scoring heaps of kills. Its fantastic.

Hahah yea I help randoms form the spire all the time. It makes me feel good. As for patrols.. I just kill everything in sight. If that means helping a lvl 26 kill Urzok then so be it. [spoiler]Mostly because i remember what it was like not having all the gear that makes life in destiny so easy.[/spoiler]

Was on 2nd character farming for XP, kicking around the cosmodrome, literally lvl12. Stumble upon the underground next to the patrol spawn, looking around, see a lvl30 farming for ultras & majors, he see's me, he introduces me to this spawn glitch where you stand in the corner behind some rock, runs me back across to these '???" lvl'd hive... he then waits for me to join him so I get residual XP from being in proximity... we rinsed and repeated a few times till I copped a stray boomer and perished in a fantastic fashion. Gentleman & a Scholar. Shoutout to that guy wherever you may be.

1 ReplySat and watched a lvl10 try take down a sword knight in the cosmodrome, as I sat there watching I admired his courage keep running away as the knight advanced to take a swipe, after about 10mins I decided to kill to knight and point to the sword He picked it up and swung it at everything that moved I'm sure I've never see a hive sword swung with so much enthusiasm

I did the same thing and got invited to my first raid. It was great. This is how destiny should be played.

6 RepliesNo, but I've fallen asleep while doing Patrol once. Woke up to about 5 guys punching and t-bagging me. One of them was trying to push me out of bounds with their sparrow.

And I actually had to grind for spirit blooms and what not.. now I dont even patrol or do daily missions/bounties Edit: oh plus I was one of the first few as a 30 back then too.. so it was fun to help out since I was lucky with drops.

If by helping you mean follow them and kill everything before they can fire their pew pew kvostov then yes, I help out a lot. Sometimes I genuinely help low level characters. Mainly when I see a level 10 trying to kill an event boss by themselves. *fires 4 Gjallarhorn rockets from across across map, waves, speeds off into sunset*

I helped a lvl 7 kill a sword of crota so he could play with the sword awhile back. RNGesus was pleased with my good deed and randomly dropped the husk of the pit for me lol

I've done the same thing. Every time I get the scan the set of boxes near the left sync plate patrol mission, if I come in and a group is trying to form the spire I whip out my Swordbreaker and have some good ol' Praetorian destroying fun. One dude sent me a thank you once because they had two guys up top nearest the door who didn't see a single Praetorian because I took all of them out. He wondered why it was so quiet and asked a buddy who told him some guy was demolishing them as quickly as they spawned "just for the giggles." Which is true.

1 Replyback when the Blades still haunted Earth and the Moon i used to hang out in the Divide a lot for orb making, fallen majors, public events, etc... when there was a bounty for killing hive with a sword and when there was a low-level guardian around i'd usually stick around and help get him down and just leave the sword for them to take. they may _say_ Level 5 or whatever, but they were definitely not something i ever wanted to tackle with my baby Titans when i was leveling them up :3

2 RepliesSaw a noob helping a 22 try to kill urzok in patrol, knowing how much of a pain in the ass he is I throw a nova bomb and finish him off. He crouched 3 times in front of me, showing his thanks.

When the Crota knight was around I enjoyed giving noobs the sword.

Saw a level 3 and level 5 trying to kill an enemy for public event once in mothyards. Helped them kill him and both got rewards. Felt good

7 RepliesSee I did what you did with my friend but we walked into the Vault with them to be funny but the door was closed behind us when we tried to get back out. We ended up dancing at the door and waiting for the next raid group. They opened the door and found us two dancing at the entrance, they were so confused.

Way to many times then I get a message not even 5mins later going "RAAAAAID?" Like I know there popping up and down in there chair/couch or whatever as there head is tilted and still going "Raaaaaaid? Well mr wanna do the raid?" And I am thinking.....kill me now Oh purple ball....just smight me and let me squirm for the love of all that shines so bright in you

I help all the time. If it wasn't for others helping me out, I'd never have made it as far as I have. It's part of the Guardian code!

I already saw some raid teams in the spire, I stoped my patrol and helped those guys

I have. It's cool to just be running around and help em. I got stuck in the vault though.

I help raiders build the spire on venus patrol if I stumble across them.
