Have you ever helped noobs while on patrol?
I was on my way to the gate lord mission and saw 4 players struggling to form the spire. They were levels 26 to 28 and it looked like they were new at it. I held the right sync plate for them while two held the middle and two held the left. Well after about 15 minutes of them dying, we finally formed it. I waved to them as they entered the vault, and felt good about helping fellow guardians in our fight against the darkness. Then I rode off towards my mission.
[spoiler]I knew they were all dead as soon as they reached the confluxes, but it was still fun helping them.[/spoiler]

1 ReplyI do when I can. If I'm in the area I do a quick scan to see if there are guardians on the sync plates. More often than not there is nobody. I find that weird in a way. Bungie claims they have millions of daily users. I see posts about VoG raids all the time. Based on that, you would think there would be line ups of fireteams waiting to get in the Vault. But no, it's very rare you see teams trying to get in. Maybe they're right and Destiny is dying. *shrugs shoulders

Yes, it's fun to help out fellow guardians. Once I helped out a group of five, and got an invite to be their sixth.good times.

I've helped out a few groups doing VoG as well, a couple times on a pike (gave them the pike both times afterwards to take into the vault, because lol).

The majority I met on patrol was assholes! I started leveling my new Hunter and was on earth patrol! I was lvl 10 or 11 and did the bounty with 100 precisions hits! I stood where the small scarab spawn! And a lvl 32 came to me and showed me his Vex! I thought ok cool man but go away I have to collect my kills! Then he tried starting to shoot but wasn't able to challange me with my loosy Green scout riffle! After 10 min he left me alone because he wasn't able to get more kills then I! I got a message from him: Nice skills for a noob! I didn't reply! ;)

I do! I love helping moons it's so fun. But I help them in the way that they can grow and still have a challange, with my weapons I can basicly 1 shot everything but I stay back, revive, kill some exc. I don't want to ruin the game for them like dying light was ruined for me. Had basic weapons, some blades doing 400dmg, some guy joins me. Dupes 300 3,000dmg weapons. Used 1. Could not go back.... So sad....

Ive done it for public events. Sparrowed past single digit players tackling one and jumped off to help complete it.

If I spy people trying to enter vog I always lend a hand. I was doing vog the other day with my clan and managed to free 2 guys who were trapped behind the vault door by opening it. One of them offered us an atheon Cp as a thank you haha

My teams once saw level 30 guy running there trying to activate all those by himself, we invited him to our raid group of 5 and finished whole raid with him, afterwards he sent "thank you, it was my first raid" felt good.

Love getting in and helping kill urzok on earth patrol as when you get him in the battle scenario with fallen and hive spawning like crazy it's a legit war it's awesome and even though he is only listed as lvl 11 or something he is a tank of an enemy and also epic glimmer grab cos of all the majors if you put on both ester seeds and black wax at the start all the local guardian kills give you glimmer so you normally clear a few thousand in 5 mins

2 RepliesYeah When I'm resource farming or doing patrol missions I'll keep an eye on lower level gaurdians Usually just involves my long range scope/sniper setup helping them out from sticky situations from a distance or a Rez if they are close

Yes, and after 800 hours I deleted a toon and started a new one, and thought it was cool (and a bit funny) to see people helping me out on earth when I was a 3-4-5 level.

2 Repliesnaaaa, everything they would be doing should be easy, i made myself to lvl 30-31 with no help at all so i dont see why others need help, and people need to learn to actauly play the game instead of being carried and still being a noob at a high lvl

I once watched a level 2 repeated die whilst he was patrolling, which seemed odd to me, because I thought you had to be a higher level to patrol. So I shadowed him for a while, I had nothing planned so I just waited till he had engaged and finished off what he started. I did this til he was level 4 and then left him to it. I am sure he had no idea it was me, as I was using my Ice Breaker from a distance. But this is not the first time I have helped people, at least twice I have helped kill the Cyclops thingy on Mars, just before you go in to the Black Garden, waved and then carried on with what I was doing. One time I even tried to help people get in to the Vault of Glass, but the group was a total disaster. I was even offered a place on their Raid group, but no, I have no real interest in Raids or Raiding.
