You will never prove that God exists.
You will never prove that God doesn't exist.
So how about all of you guys in both groups stop being assholes and accept that people have different beliefs than you?
Christians, you can still let people know that you follow Christ and you can still invite others to give your religion a try, so long as you aren't too pushy and don't try to force others to adhere to the rules of your religion.
Atheists, you can still educate people on science and continue to show the evidence of evolution, so long as you respect people's religious beliefs.
Now, this compromise will require effort from both sides. I won't be including options for atheist or Christian, because that doesn't matter. All that matters is that you accept the fact that other people have different beliefs and that you are comfortable with it.
I know this thread will fail horribly, as there are assholes on both sides that will not allow anyone to have different beliefs. I at least want the record to show that I tried.

If I were to claim that there are 4729 green flying monkeys living on the rings of Saturn, and then immediately said that I'm correct because I have faith, and that everyone else must prove me wrong, would anyone take me seriously? No, because it's obvious that I am wrong. So why should we take Christianity seriously?
