Why do YOU use exotic hand cannons
Ive used the thorn a lot before and kills with that weapon are no fun at all and get zero respect. Why use it?
No hate towards hand cannons but you have to admit the kill speed is insane. I have no problem taking out people with it. But I want to see why people use it so often.
Average at pvp so don't judge me. I love the NLB. Everyone who uses this weapon is a badass in my book. You can't not respect someone who headshots you with the NLB
Edit: it's killer so many people have been voting. Thorn has been annoying me more in iron banner hate seeing a team of 6 use 4 thorns and 2 TLW's. NLB still wins if I beat their draw

I love using hawkmoon. But after seeing Thorn in IB i decided to use it myself. Im a terrible person, and I feel bad. After being killed by it, and killing with it... I've come to the conclusion that hand cannons in general need an impact nerf. Auto rifles restored to their original glory. And possibly an impact buff on scout rifles. My reasoning: hand cannons output incredible amounts of damage in a few bullets, and auto rifles are now peashooters. It's kind of absurd seeing how fast one can die when put up against TLW or Thorn. Then going up against someone using Hard Light or Suros Regime. Im iffy on my reasoning for wanting an impact buff for scout rifles. The Fang is already an impressive weapon. These weapons are [b]rarely[/b] used, if not at all. Making them shoot bullets and not marshmallows would help improve diversity with weapon types in the crucible. Im prepared for the hate from hand cannon users, and im one myself. Discuss

I only use them when i am angry and when im pushed to tye edge. I then feel dirty for using it but what can i do? My AR was neefed so my main character is useless in crusible.

Because I'm a bad player that likes to make people cry and I love it because it gets me easy kills. Also I'm scrub who relies on crutch weapons and claims I have skill for getting kills with them as a hunter.

3 RepliesDespise Thorn. Have it, refuse to use it. It's cheap, it's overpowered, and in my opinion deserves to have it's damage reduced. No weapon should have a two-shot-kill ability

I like the feel. I don't use them because they are OP, they just feel good in my hands. It takes a bit of practice to actually use them. Really, who can hip fire two headshots [i]every time [/i]?

1 ReplyIn all honesty I got a thorn about three weeks before TDB dropped, when they implemented the new way to upgrade exotics I literally deleted ever exotic I had. Never gave a shit about the thorn after that. Then about 2 months ago I start playing crucible. Killed by thorn. Killed by thorn. Killed by thorn. -blam!- that man, I went and got my own and had it in a few days and it's my go to in PVP, ONLY because I hope it pisses people off as bad as it did me.

I love hand cannons. Being a hardcore role player though, I only really use them on my hunter. But when I first started my Hunter and used white and green hand cannons, I still loved them. Even if it only had six shots, that was still six kills in PvE

I don't use handcannons. I literally level them up and bench them in vault until they get forever lost in the dark corners of time.

I understand the hate, I hate it when i escape one thorn to be poisoned by another. But, I use them, and will often lose to longer range weapons in open areas or long corridors. They aren't OP.

5 RepliesHonestly I only started using my thorn to counter the thorns that are in pvp before that I was using a vex now if I get into a match and I don't see a thorn user I'll switch mine back for either red death or vex

Plus hand cannons only reward people with good aim... except thorn. Thorns easy mode all the way...
