I think Ward of Dawn, either by default or through an exotic item, should be given the ability to deflect attacks. This should affect pretty much any ranged attack, except those that destroy the shield. This would be helpful when being shot at by swarms of enemies, and might make a gunslinger think twice about opening fire on the shield.
I've included a diagram of how I imagine it would work mathematically. Point A represents the center of the bubble. Point B represents the point of origin of the attack. Point C is the point of impact on the shield's surface. The ray CD is the path of the attack after it is deflected, which is such that angle BAC is congruent to angle BCD. Another option would be to simply deflect along ray AC. This way, shots aimed at the center would be bounced back at the shooter, while shots fired at the outside of the shield would go wide.
Your thoughts? Forgive my crude image, please.

Why wouldn't it deflect in a mirror of the BC vector? Do sent make sense to bounce backwards like that
