Guillermo del Toro confirms Silent Hills is dead

https://twitter.com/tvsmatthackney/status/592177537427447808 If you haven't been keeping up with the whole ordeal, Hideo Kojima and Konami had some unspecified falling out, and as a result, he will be leaving Konami after The Phantom Pain is released. He was originally slated to be working will del Toro on a new Silent Hill game, but as a result of the whole issue, many thought it wouldn't happen. It seems our fears have been confirmed, however.

  • That's sad. But if Kojima starts his own studio, there's nothing to stop him making a horror game in the same style he would've made silent hills. Or even hiring del toro himself Though a part of me wonders if he won't create a new hero in the vein of the metal gear series, at least as his first game
