I read a thread that caused me to start reminiscing the ol' Loot Cave. During the discussion, an idea occurred to me. Bungie ought to include a shooting range within the social spaces of Destiny. It was fun shooting at the cave and talking with friends while hitting some extremely easy targets. It was also fun showing off and admiring all of the different weapons that players had in their inventory. The loss of the social aspects included with the Loot Cave was one of the complaints for it being patched. So why not bring it back through a social shooting range?
Feel free to share any additional details and ideas that you may have regarding a social shooting range and its implementation.
Edit:
Here is another thread discussing the same sort of idea: https://www.bungie.net/en/Forum/Post/123694309

Ideally, the shooting range would be located somewhere close to gunsmith and vault. Different range lengths and target types would be available. The gunsmith could actually do his job by working on guns. Let him sell me a different scope, or a caliber change, or even a paint job. The Range could be a place to practice as well as try-before-you-buy on weapon mods. The social aspect of having an observation deck to see what other players are shooting, digital target scoreboard, etc. could be awesome. So much could be done with this.

Yes! I was thinking the exact thing after having Banshee-44 reforge a weapon. I was stood there thinking "I wish I didn't have to travel so far, and through two loading screens, just to see how this weapon handles." Why isn't there a firing range in the tower for fledgling and elder Guardians alike to hone there aim? I really want to see this feature added.
I will also be playing the Shooting range theme from Ocarina of Time every time I'm in there, haha.
Bump! I have been thinking, how cool would it be to have a shooting range and even an obstacle course?
-
I think this would be awesome. Guns need differences too just like they finally made it so legendary armor can be ascended to Max light. Make it so we can have the same gun but different set up. Like having a scout rifle with a long range scope or the same one with iron sights. Or something along those lines.

Not just a social shooting range, but a combat simulator. Holograms of a range of different enemies, with adjustable levels, and adjustable shields to see how the weapon fights off different enemies. That would be interesting and useful. Even a guardian simulator for crucible

It's called "patrol".

Bump. So much yes. Been saying something like this for awhile now.

Bump.

Me and a buddy were just talking about this the other day...so I'm a bump!

Seriously? With the problems with this game you actually have time to come up with crazy ideas like this? Jesus go on a god damn patrol
