The very first exotic bounty I completed was super good advice. Did I waste my time upgrading this weapon? It's in my vault just sitting there cause I don't use machine guns and it was my 1st exotic so it has a place of honor. But lately it's been looking like an exotic shard. Anyone ever use this weapon?

Oracles man and don't delete it if u don't like it just put it in the vault cuz one day u will have all the damn exotics and be missing that one lol

Super good advice is a bad weapon that has one niche and that is based on its design but even more on its exotic perk. Its exotic perk depends on you MISSING. The lack of stability on the weapon and the sniper level scope ensure that you miss a fair amount of the time. The weapon is just a bad design. Its only saving grace is due to a bug: oracles and Oversoul do not count as hits, so you can just unload on them and not care about ammo or reloading. Unfortunately you sacrifice your exotic slot to do so.

It's plain garbage, You can however use it on oracles during atheon HM if you use something like a black hammer as a secondary. That's the only good thing about it.

Edited by yusukethegr8: 4/21/2015 2:37:01 PMIts good, and not just for oracles
-
I wouldn't delete it. What if later down the road there is a situation where it becomes extremely useful and you have deleted it. Especially since you took the time to upgrade it.

Good for oracles
-
If you're not on rocket duty in the Crota raid (if that's even possible), I hear it works great on the Oversoul. Basically acts the same as the oracles.

its a great weapon in my opinion

Some ammo consumption numbers - Atheon HM -All oracles solo per teleport uses about 30 rounds from reserve - usually less and kills them fast -Detainment bubble if you are not teleported uses about 4 rounds from reserve - detainment instantly gone and you can clear the rest of your team before they can clear themselves (unless they are using SGA also) Using it like a pulse trigger - supplicants get trashed quickly leaving area clear for returning teleport team Learn to use it and it is a pretty strong gun - best suited for VOG HM but definitely keep one around for that Set it for the fast reload option - painfully slow without

Like all exotics, they are super situational. Due to the short range its mostly a short range LMG. Usually you would only use this on oracles, as it counts most shots as missed, and gives you more DPS. Or you would use this on trash clearing. it rocks in the abyss running the lamps.

Its my go to gun for VoG HM. When you level it up almost every shot you miss is given back in the mag. so almost unlimited shots when your shooting at oracles, detainment bubble, and oversoul.

You'll get loads of exotic bounties over time so don't shard it. Most people find that the exotic bounties that are more common are Thorn, Bad Juju and Invective. Certainly I've had about 40-50 of these and only ever 3 options at SGA or Pocket Infinity. The other thing is that guns with unusual exotic perks like these have a habit of becoming game changers in end game content. Look at red Death for example. Nobody used that for months and now it's one of the most sought after exotics because of HM Crota. Probably worth trying it on the Arkon Priest this week actually. Will toast those pesky shanks in the Nightfall.

Oracle killer man respawns ammo after oracle hits
-
I only use mine for the oracles at the end of VoG. Other than that, meh

Hard to say whats worse, NLB or Super Good Advice. Despite what some of these guys may have you believe its not really that great vs Oracles either. Corrective Measure puts the Super Good Advice to shame vs Oracles because of its Oracle Disruptor perk and it doesn''t take up your exotic slot. Shotguns also kill Oracles much, much faster than the Super Good Advice so there really is no point to the damn thing. I have 60 days played and have used almost every single gun for hours on end atleast! My "Super Good Advice" is to shard it or keep it and *hope to -blam!-ing god* Bungie buffs it.
-
If you use it in PVP, you can walk around with the trigger held down and expect something to die.
-
Keep it. Use it. You might enjoy it.
-
It's great fun to use, play with what you want. Not something I'd rely on at hard crota but you can use any gun anywhere. Don't listen to the haters.

Anyone who says shard it doesnt understand what guns like this are made for. I love it. Personally I have used it for to many Machine gun headshot bounties in Iron Banner to count. It was my first exotic bounty as well and it has always had a special place for me. It has a strong learning curve but once you get the recoil down its a guardian grinder. This is no easy mode exotic like Thorn or TLW, you will have to learn your gun. I find its perfect for mid to short range. Its natural recoil helps track those jumpy mutha forkers with shotguns. I use it very tactically as well, you can keep suppressing fire on a doorway for a VERY long time. Long enough to make that point capture or hold off that small group of guardians until your team shows up. I vote for keeping it. There is nothing like the first one. Hell mine just helped me finish the last exotic bounty on my list. I obliterated xyor the unwed to complete the Thorn bounty with the old girl. :)

Super dank for oracles on Atheon. You can hold the trigger the entire time while shooting oracles until you get out of the portal still with 20-30 shots to spare
-
i dont use it but i keep it just to have almost one of everything. just start doing easy exotic bounties and shard them. only thing SGA is good for is using it on oracles in VOG. hitting the oracles registers as missed shots so you dont run out of ammo.
-
Just wanna thank all the Guardians for showing me there is value it this smg. There is no way I'm scraping it now
-
Perfect for VoG Oracle's with the hit and miss perk.
-
Keep it, its great if used right
-
Have 3 easy shards
