So yeah crucible is officially ruined due to getting hardly any special ammo. There was nothing wrong with crucible before this patch. For all you cry babies that can't roll with the big dogs that know how to use shotguns obviously shouldn't be playing crucible. Go do some patrol or something it's called competitive multi-player for a reason.. not complain that you suck. I'm just saying without special ammo you cant even turn the game around I've came back from an 8k lead in control before just from running around with my shotgun. You can't do that with any primary... Bungie please fix this. I'm a huge pvp player and is one of the reasons i play destiny. i really don't want to throw this game down. Fun fact: if you see someone using the thorn you know they're desperate for to get kills. (;
-keep in mind about what I said, it's COMPETITIVE MULTI-PLAYER.
Don't worry fellas this will get fixed soon.
If you don't like then why change it for everyone. Ask bungie to make your own pussy crucible. Don't change ours.
Edit 1: Everyone keeps saying to adapt... why couldn't you adapt to the previous crucible?
Edit 2: I love how the people commenting are the ones that complained about it in first place. Don't call me a whining bitch when in fact your sorry ass' couldn't roll with the 1.1.1. I understand some people need it dimmed down just to win once in awhile so there you have it. You will win more often not because no special ammo because majority of the people are leaving lol. I'm out. Thank you for your time, next person to comment likes kissing boys
Edit 3: should of been a vote on this matter. Unless I missed it then..

Edited by A Hippo7910: 4/19/2015 7:22:44 PM
There was nothing wrong with crucible before this patch
Wrong. Now suck ass little bitches can't run around with a shotgun the entire game, they actually have to run around and FIND it rather than just spawning with it. If people quit Crucible because they can't use guns that require aiming then -blam!- them. Were better off.
-
I HATE crucible how it is now.. I love sniping and I can't -blam!-ing do it because there is 0 ammo. And no, I'm not going to use ice breaker
-
It is a lot better without shotgun scubs spamming a tactical weapon. I use shotguns all the time and I like them much more post patch. It's nice actually having skilled gun fights instead of having to creep to avoid getting sniped or shotgun camped at every corner. This is hands down the best crucible has EVER been.
-
Sorry you can't run around with a shotgun all match anymore. Go be a scrub somewhere else. Bye fgt.
-
"...roll with the big dogs using shotguns..." An insult to mans best friend.

Edited by MurdiusMaximus: 4/20/2015 12:17:33 PMI don't know what Crucible you're playing, but there's still a shotgun issue on skirmish. And honestly, I like Control now. People actually have to think before they shoot noob tubes now. In response to your first edit, people didn't adapt because the only way to adapt was use a shotgun or die. That's not balanced, and it doesn't cater to any but one play style. It was boring and frustrating.
-
1 ReplyLmao YOU SUCK now u have to use a real gun as opposed to camping corners with your feltwinters lie if people are quitting destiny why don't u do us all a favor and quit the forums while your at it crucible is 10 times better after this update
-
7 RepliesR.I.P destiny. The shortest game to have lived
-
Another shotgun neandrathal whine
-
So you just backed up why they changed it. You said that you can change a game just cuz of your shotgun. So that means that it was the only go to weapon. Quit bitching. Learn how to use your PRIMARY weapon slot. And no I don't play pvp cause I suck. But I don't blame guns.
-
5 RepliesArgues that PVP is meant to be "Competitive Multiplayer". Whines when it's made more competitive. GTFO.
-
Answer is invective? Lol seriously crucible is so much better now
-
I also hate the change
-
This isn't satire? Lmao the big dogs? Goodness

Edited by Combo164: 4/19/2015 8:19:34 PMBlink and sniper shotgun Much skills Such wow. But seriously, saying that you have skill just because you manage to close distance in a game with maps that are so cqc oriented with shotguns capable of insane one shot kill range, it had me searching for the satire tag. This isn't gears of war 3 which arguably takes more skill than this due to needing to be able to wallbounce effectively and dodge fire to get close, not to mention stopping power on ARs were a thing. If you or anyone else who relied on shotguns to be on top are truly "skilled", then you shouldn't have a problem hanging around with people using your primary, unless you don't know how to keep aim on a target when needing more than one shot to kill. Hilarious to destroy people who mained shotguns whenever they tried using their primary. Adapt and use your primary option whilst managing your secondary. And don't even try to say adapt before the patch because adapting then meant jumping on the bandwagon and using a felwinters shotgun too, which shows the over reliance of shotguns to actually be "good" at the game.

Send them to the forums crying, eh Guardian?
-
Smdh. Shotguns are fine but hand cannons broke crucible all it is now is thorn and last word.
-
Never used a lot of secondaries before and Ironically I've found my performance drop a bit after the patch as I adjust to more players using primaries (mostly handcannons). I had no problem shutting down shotgunners before, and actually die to shotguns a little more often now that I'm more focused on ranged engagements and not the guy blinking towards me. Starting to get my legs back though, the reduction of secondary ammo has really changed the flow of battle.
-
I love crucible now, much more methodical use of special.

10 RepliesEdited by J_Bird77: 4/19/2015 11:37:17 AMSo....does it seem logical to make a map like Skyshock, play like you're in a cardboard box with shotguns? Shotguns were not meant to rule crucible. 90% of all players use Felwinter's Lie. I've seen people get 40 kills, with 35 of them being with a shotgun. The range on Felwinter's Lie needs to be decreased. I have one with shot package/hammer forged, and the original base one from IB. It's way too OP. I refuse to get most of my kills with a shotgun. Jumping around, blinking with a shotgun is the definition of a Scrub in my book. I even tell my friends who do it themselves that. True skill is being a Sniper, and using your primary in my opinion. If all I did was use a shotgun, I would of quit this game from a boredom overdose. In all honesty, Snipers were affected more than shotgunners, which is real BS.
-
Guess you are a SG/FR noob that needed SG/FR for kills because you cannot handle primaries and needing to aim. So no pvp was not ruined and no they did not need a vote for it is not up to the players on what sort of buff or nerfs are done ever. the players do not ever get to decide on nerfs or buff or how much ever nor ever will nor ever should.
-
lol.. I love : Edit 1 ...
-
I always hated crucible and this week I have to PVP all weekend for the bad juju bounty oh boy this is going to be NOT fun. I will go all out being a scrub to end the torture Shoulder charge and red death or thorn time
i really don't want to do this but I have to
-
It stops being "competitive" when you run around shotgun spamming like a pansy. Seriously how much skill does it take to one shot hip fire? Trick question.... Nada
-
Does anyone take into account the Bungie probably isn't making changes due to the complaints on the board but rather through analysis of the game play data? In your post you state that you made up an 8000 point by running around with a shotgun. If this is not an isolated incident it's an indicator to Bungie of competitive imbalance. In short, it's not posts on the message boards that are causing the changes, it's more likely game-play data analysis. Disclaimer: I suck at the Crucible and this change didn't alter that one bit.

Have only had time to play PvP sparingly after the patch, but my impression was one of not having any problems with special ammo at all. The game was noticeably slower though, easier too.
