I think the auto rifle needs to be buffed back up and level the playing field once again. I know people over used it but i dont think it should have turned into an unusable weapon. Let alone being a weapon that no one no longer wants to use including myself. I am one of those players that is versatile in play style and weapon choice and when my options are limited to a selct couple of types because of the nerfing of other types the game becomes less appealing. It may just be me but i hope that assault rifle will make a comeback for the house of wolves!

I agree. That said here are my thoughts. The first AR nerf was absolutely needed. After that... maybe some minor tweaking to *specific* AR's, not wack the whole AR class with a nerf that made them essentially useless. But.. here's the kicker. The big kick in the rear about the 2nd and 3rd rounds of AR nerfs: They happened because "AR's were being used way to much in the Crucible." *Headdesk* *Headdesk* *Headdesk* Why the triple headdesk? Because Bungie did not look at WHY AR's were being used so much. That "Why" they never asked deals directly with how they designed the Crucible's maps! Almost all of the maps are close to mid-range engagements; so of course AR's were going to be used. Used. A lot. Used because they were the best tool for the job on those maps. Solution? Make maps that are bigger, have longer sight lines and favor pulse and scout rifles. This isn't rocket science. Not by a long shot.

Yeah sure why not. Alittle buff won't hurt. Bungie has always disliked ARs haven't they.
-
Yes I want auto rifles that work like they used to.

Buff AR

AR's are still good weapons I don't understand what everyone's talking about. Now that you have to actually be skilled and use a different play style to use the weapon everyone is complaining. Sure maybe they could use a tiny boost but everybody who's crying and saying "boo hoo my AR isn't killing people instantly, it's been nerfed into the ground!" Need to grow up. Just change your play style. Bungie made it so the AR isn't an all around weapon anymore and made it situational so you can't be at long range and snipe poeple with it and you also can't just run around and do well, now it actually squires skill to use.

Edited by J Stevensontown: 4/20/2015 9:30:31 PMBump, and fvck Suros, its not for Suros, should be for all ars. Especially low impact

Bump to the max!

Bump. Needs to. Be on community wish list. I wanna use my suros again!

Agreed. I loved using Suros, and Atheon's Epilogue, but now it's pointless. They need to buff it up 4%
-
Good auto rifles are still very useful in pvp but that's about it.
-
Auto rifles aren't useless now. They just take skill to use for the first time since Destiny's release.
-
If your any good you would notice auto rifles still dominate just no the ones with crappy impact so suros wins and any other auto rifle with good impact..
-
Should never have been nerfed the last time around. Need to be buffed back to make them a viable option again. I always thought they should be some what like this for max effectiveness. SMG, Shotguns - short range Hand Cannons - mid to short range ARs and Pulse Rifles - mid range Scouts - Mid to Long range Snipers - long range, extreme distance. Notice I said SMG, cause that's really what Pay Back, Necro, Simlars Wrath and all other high rate of fire low impact guns are in my opinion. Kind of like an Uzi. Almost usless at mid range now.

Most people like to fight at mid to long range. Before autos were able to dominant at these ranges and they were never meant to. Now they are the best weapon for close range fighting and can out gun anything except shotguns there. If they do up the damage the will have to increase the falloff to keep it even.
