Archon priest in the divide?
So I was doing some patrolling of the cosmodrome, and I came into the divide and picked up a vip target mission.
It began to direct me back towards the breach where these missions usually take place. I was expecting the target to be a red bar servitor or vandal with some kind of fancy name.
While I was clearing out the area looking for the target I get hit with something heavy that takes my shields halfway down, I turn around and behind me is a level 4 yellow health bar archon priest. ( I didn't get a good look at his name but it started with a K)
Anybody else encounter this guy before, cause I never have.

5 RepliesYeah he spawns once in awhile when you take a VIP patrol mission on earth. He was originally intended to be the first boss (he was the one shown in the 2013 E3 demo). Honestly, I'd like to see more named enemies spawn in the world - We've got Urzok the Hated and this guy, but thats it as far as I know.

Sometimes the mission is called Troll Patrol and he appears as soon as you walk into the room, other times it's called something else (can't remember) and the mission is to kill a group of fallen in the area. The Archon Rising appears once you've killed the other fallen.

i have, hes a random VIP kill. if you spend you time collecting VIP missions from steppes and divide youll run into him more. no real reason behind his appearance, like theres no "do X amount of VIP kills and he'll appear" kind of thing. not that ive noticed anyway

Never seen him but if you head to the Devils lair there will be a lower level easier to kill spider tank (that what's the name is in my head because I can't remember what it is)

Yea, its a VIP mission, target is Krayliks (maybe?), Archon Rising. Kill it before it gets stronger.

There is 3 of these strong health bar people. There is the Acheron rising. Urzok the hated. Then if you go to Rasputin in his bunker you will find a follower of oryk .

3 RepliesI don't think it's an archon. It looks more like the boss from the mission when you get the hyperdrive. I think it's the mission after you get the ship

They should buff him once in a while and surprise guardians on patrol. He should give a small reward for beating him for the trouble.

I had one eliminate target mission in the forbidden shore and it was a fallen captain and I couldn't take him down by myself with an ice breaker and legendary hand cannon. His (arc) would regen before I finished reloading my hand cannon and he ran extremely fast (I used my sparrow to try and keep up) but he got away a second time. It was awful

I've done that mission to, just shot him with my gally, that took him down instantly.

That guy IS your kill target, you don't normally get him for kill missions but it is fun ^^
