Are you tired of looking like everyone else when you return to the tower? Feeling like a robot made in an assembly line? Well now you don't have to! I introduce to you a new feature for in Destiny for the Gunsmith! Armor and weapon upgrades! Love your Shadow Price? Really digging that sweet Vault of Glass Armor? Well now with the Gunsmith you can use your motes of light to upgrade their max damage value, and light value! Love your Fatebringer? Upgrade it with the Gunsmith so you can still use it Nightfall and Iron Banner! Got Queen's Wrath gear? Upgrade it with the Gunsmith and make your friends wish they never had scrapped their Queen's Wrath gear! Got Ghost Angel Armor? Upgrade with the Gunsmith! The Gunsmith can do more than just upgrade your gear though, at the cost of mote of light he can take your Vanguard/Crucible/Faction weapons and reforge them to your liking. [Note: Doesn't work on Iron Banner and Raid weapons] Need armor piercing rounds for your Prudence II? Reforge! Need full auto for your Invisible Hand M7? Reforge! It doesn't stop there oh no! Collect raid gear and upgrade them, then with the Gunsmith's help you can transfer the light from the Raid gear to your favorite and sexy armor pieces! How do we get this feature into Destiny you ask? It's simple, copy and past the link to this Topic all over Bungie.net and keep doing it until Bungie agrees to add this feature into Destiny. If you really want this you'll have to copy and paste the link to this Topic. Act now!

  • There are so many great guns in the game. I love my fate bringer, don't get me wrong it's awesome, but why would I want to keep upgrading it to keep using it and get the same experience over and over again. I have so many guns that I cant hope to possible level them all up. Guns that I earned in the VoG or pre-DB should be guns that remind me of a simpler time. And as far as armor upgrades, I think it's dumb. Hitting the max level should be an achievement. Completing the raid however many times you need to, not simply buying some vanguard gear, and then upgrading it. Something like this would make raids and iron banner redundant, and they are probably my two favorite things to do in destiny. Idk tho, thats just my 2 cents

    • I think they would need to restrict armor upgrades to "Requires Level 31" otherwise lower levels could just complete VoG, upgrade their armor to the max and skip Crota's End completely and make it a more useless raid

    • Wont ever happen in this game for this is not Terra or WoW this is not a instant gratification vantiy game like Dota 2 or other games that vanity players like to play.

      1. Add transmogrification 2. Add gun shaders 3. Don't let people upgrade old content weapons and armor! That just defeats the purpose of raiding and the game itself. If you want to use old weapons or armor (assuming you're a higher level to the mobs for PvE) then just used it in Crucible and while doing Patrols/Strikes.

      • Plus being able to customize the look of armor eg. similar to transmog function in diablo. Raid armor is nice but it's common as muck with perks relevant only to that activity. Bungie could learn a lot from Diablo, just imagine set armor and weapons from iconic characters in the lore, that offer additional perks depending on the number of pieces you have and weapons that tie into subclass abilities. We can dream.

This needs to happen along with gun shaders.

      • This will never happen during the beta and the issue is being reiterated on here endlessly, nothing will be done and you are ignored by Bumgie. The answer when your feeling bored about the way you look is to press the eject disc button. Now go look in the mirror. Don't like it? Change your clothes.

      • You could also make it that you take a piece of armour you want and for example a piece of raid armour (36 light) and fuse it together to get the desired look of one armour but the benefits of another. This way also makes it so that you still need to obtain the "hard to get"raid gear

      • Please no upgrading 300 attack weapons. There would be even less diversity then there is now.
