Let's make it simple Step 1: create a hunter Step 2: unlock blink/arch blade Step 3: Get shotgun (preferably felwinters, for obvious reasons) Step 4 (optional): get one of the exotic hand cannons. Doesn't matter which one, they're all pretty op. Only use your primary when you have to. To be good at pvp, you must treat your primary like your secondary and your secondary (shotgun) like your primary. Step 5: cheese pvp Step 6: brag about easy gained k/dr on forum

    I know. Bungies logic is beyond retarded. They NERF shotguns ranges, couple days later they introduce felwinters a shotgun with the range of a fusion rifle and then some. Imagine the range the gun would have had if the shotgun ranges weren't NERF twice, prier to its release? OMG, that shit would have been a -blam!-ing sniper.

  • you know felwinters has the same base range as invective and a few other shotties, right? The only thing that makes it have a bit of an edge is shot package or the range perk, and those only add like 3-5 feet of range.

  • True but it's also that with aggressive ballistics, it has the highest impact of any shotty in the game aside from the bronzed chasma with aggressive.

  • Seriously. They take away some special ammo, but it didn't really make any difference as there are oodles of chests. There is still a large number of players that just run with their special. Additionally, the maps for inferno were all very small (probably to keep the interactions going). That's just going to lead to more shotguns. I prefer more open maps so that I can use a pulse, scout or AR and do not have to rely on fast twitch on who gets their shotgun to fire first. I'm old and do not have the trigger finger that I once had.

    It's terribly sad, but this is true for most people on destiny... came across a blink/shotgun team(yes all 6 were blinking with shotguns and thorn, the most skilled they were)... we beat them by rougly 1000 or so points so it was close, but with their strategy they should have demolished us in score... Then they said they were better than us consideing they had defeated hundreds of other teams with their lame a** "strategy"...?... Doesnt being the best mean beating the best, and not winning against countless teams of people that are probobly not working together let alone talking with one another...and do people/anybody for that matter consider blinking with shotguns to be skillful in any regard...

  • Teleportation should never be in a multiplayer game. It completely -blam!-s up the whole balance of things, to make it even worse they didn't even make a counter got it. And being able to use it twice before the cool down isn't a counter.

  • If you think about it, it's not that hard to fight... Here: When using blink your body stays on the ground, you take aim the teleport registers, you appear up and often to the left (the target's right; don't know why they often choose this angle but they do), -this is the important part- their aim has to hold up so you backing up a little bit won't help, the best thing you can do in fighting blink is to snipe them while they are in the blink animation, but not everyone can pull shit like that 100% of the time so you simply need to jump forward up and left. They'll lose track of you almost guaranteed and while they try to regain it you can strike. You simply have to adapt to your enemies, if they want to use thorn for example remember that it has limited visibility while zoomed in under and on the sides. Use this. Randomly jump in battle or run to places where you have lower ground, you can get the kill with some skill as thorn users are often not used to 1v1 situations and get crowd/pick kills. And for shits n' giggles just pull out your favourite no land beyond and watch a corner spot (I.e. pretty much anywhere on pantheon or anomaly)

  • Judging by the context that the word "cheese" has been used in the destiny "community". I can deduce that cheesing is when you make something very easy, by exploiting a broken mechanic. And blink/shotgun is a broken mechanic, a very easy to do broken mechanic.

  • thats more of an opinion of yours than claiming its "broken".. it works... you use a jumping mechanic that works fine and throw a shotgun into the mix.. its effective as fuk its a slow shooting ranged shotgun, its variety. i see people blinking with a shotgun all the time but most suck at being efficient at it... and even more suck at reacting in time to turn around or above and just counter with a shotgun of their own. i admit that its lopsided and needs to be nerfed by the way.. but you cant compare movement and gun strategy to actual broken shit like being able to wipe on templar and send one person by himself down to hold the relic and bring down the shield while the entire team sits from afar, out of combat sniping shit... or how you can despawn adds by wiping on the bridge part in CE. know opinions from cheeses my friend.

  • Shotgun and blink is cheesing pvp because it's a very easy thing to do that requires no skill. That's why so many players have shifted to it. You can look at the stats and classes of the top 50 pvp players most of then using classes that have blink have hell a lot more shotgun kills than with their primaries. It's not a coincidence. What I stated previously wasn't an opinion it was fact. An easier way to play pvp. And there isn't any counter to blink, you have no idea where they are going but they have every idea where you.

  • hate to be rude man but... youre just a scrub lol. Anything in this game that requires aiming at a target while moving or riping through space and time requires some scale of precision and talent. Ya its pretty easy.. but so is just seeing a person blink and turning around faster than they can adjust their screen, and blasting their face. I and so many of my friends who are better than me predict blinks all... the... time... so countering a blink can be decided by simply reacting faster. Speak for yourself man, i and so many others have every idea of which way they are going, the way you can tell is simply by the position they are in, mid air mind you, and just being ready for it. Stop hating the player so much and hate the game, i hope they minimize the shotgun utilities and this is coming from a guy who probably has more shotgun kills than anything in pvp... -blam!- primaries.. ill use the gun i earned and i dont care if noobs hate me because of it... if you cant beat them, join them.
