How about, if you hit members of your own team, you take damage? I forget which CoD had that for Hardcore mode but it beats people raging because you accidentally team killed someone who ran into your field of view as you fired.

What about trolls?

You mean ones that purposely get in other people's way and get them killed due to the damage from the teamkill? I admit that can be a problem, especially on smaller maps, but at least Guardians can jump away from teammates trying to box them in. It's not like there aren't trolls now, pushing teammates out of a bubble or control zone, standing in front of them when they're about to fire off a rocket, etc.

But it would be a heck of a lot easier to troll if the trolls could just shoot you to death

Yeah, that is why in BLOPs 2 you were only allowed a certain number of teamkills before you got kicked, and do it too much and you wouldn't be allowed to rejoin multiplayer matchmaking for a certain time.
