Stockpiling Class Materials & Weapon Parts tip
Many times I've completed bounties to level a single weapon or piece of armor. Following this suggestion you can receive more class materials and weapon parts while completing the aforementioned task.
When you’re running bounties only bring a few weapons and armor with you; leaving space to pick up as many uncommon items as possible. To obtain more weapon parts or class materials equip these uncommon (green) items while turning in bounties. Uncommon items level quickly (1 x 5000xp or 2x 2500xp bounties). Unequip these items immediately after leveling and dismantle (this may be in the midst of turning in bounties), equip another and repeat. Do not pay for the upgrades, just make sure all available perks are circled in green. You'll receive 3-5 weapon parts, or 3-5 class materials compared to 1or 2.
Many Vets may already know this; but please notice, some amateurs might find it useful knowledge.

I actually got 6 weapon parts from an uncommon heavy weapon last night. The most I've seen before that is 5.

2 RepliesYou can also do it with the Blue items as well - but dont have to upg fully - if your out of green items for that slot, equip the blue and turn in 2 bounties or so. The experience from those 2 bounties helps the blue to give out more.

3 RepliesThis also works with Exotics in a sense from what a clan mate tells me. Basically you level up an exotic to it namesake perk say Icebreaker ' s Icebreaker perk. You purchase all the upgrades till there and continue to level the exotic till the last damage upgrade without buying them. Dismantle and boom you got two shards. I personally have to many weapons to upgrade at the moment so I can't say I have firsthand experience doing this. However I don't doubt that it would work.

Also, yesterday I was playing roc to level up my hunters gear, all the armour engrams I get will go to my warlock so I get warlock items. Then level them up and dismantle.
