Why do people do crota normal first and then hard?

Have a hard time finding a solid group to run on hard mode. Usually can find a decent enough group to make it thru normal. So I do normal first and look for a hard group later in the week

If you do hard without doing normal, you double the chance of getting raid primaries, but cut the chance of getting raid specials and heavies by 1/4.
