Well. It's been six months, or more since I started playing Destiny. Pretty much since Day One.
To give it its fair due, it is a solid FPS, and there is a storyline, or at least a very WH40K back drop to make sense of what you are doing and why you are doing it, even if it is worn thread bare at the umpteenth time of doing it.
I've gone beyond the thread bare point now. I'm at the stage where I'm not sure if I'd prefer to have one of my buttocks amputated or have another patrol of the Cosmodrome.
You see, after six months, I've had three exotic drops, one of them was Light Beyond Nemesis, then not long ago, Red Death dropped, ten days before Xur dragged it behind his raggedy derrière into the tower.
Then I had Hard Light drop, last Tuesday, just after Xur sold it.
I could be forgiven for thinking that RNGESUS is a piss taker. I could be more cynical and think that because I paid £85 up front for this practical joke that Bungivision has sprung on me, that they see me as some kind of mug.
Well that is exactly what I feel like, especially when as a PS4 player, I have seen neither hair nor hide of Hawkmoon after six -blam!-ing months.
With exotic drops so sparse I'm starting to wonder wtf I am paying for.
You see, I'm used to grind but usually the kind you see in games like Gran Turismo or Forza, by that, I mean the kind of grind you know will yield results, as in NOT THE KIND AKIN TO BANGING YOUR HEAD OFF A GRANITE WALL, BUNGIE!!!!!
I don't want to come across as self entitled, I hate people like that.
But for -blam!-s sake do not lock me out of game content I have paid for for entirely arbitrary reasons.
Referring back to games like Forza and Gran Turismo, there is nothing in those games that can't be played for. Nothing in those games that leaves you at the mercy of RNG to obtain.
If you're good enough, you will get it. You just need to do the right things. Not so in Destiny.
Maybe I don't know the secret hand shake.
All I know is that the joy of this game is being over taken now, by the sense of being mugged off and hence pissed off.
I actually hope I haven't paid for House of Wolves yet because I've had e -blam!-ing nough.

Sounds like you just need to stop playing Destiny.
