I think that people just need to get over the fact that they are going to die in pvp. There are so many ways you can die like supers, grenades, melee, snipers, shotguns, gunfights against multiple guardians, and heavy ammo.
It is gonna happen. Get over it!
You have to roll with the punches, accept that you are not immortal.. respawn learn from your mistakes or tip your cap because you get out played. Learn what fights you can come out on top and what fights to avoid. With this attitude you will gain experience and knowledge about the game instead of raging like a 2 year old.
So the moral of the story is to develop your play style, figure out what you are good at and find a class and weapons that best compliments your style. If you join a match and you are getting smashed change your weapon set up or change your play style. Maybe take it slower be less aggressive or just the opposite. Getting killed is a part of the game let it go and make an adjustment.

Yeah but its annoying when you die by supers and heavy ammo 5 times in a row.

I had fun last night. I did Invective's bounty in 3 games. This from a guy who was 0.75 overall and 0.89 in control yesterday.
-
All I see is nerf this, buff that, all I want is 16v16 large scale battles with controllable spiders
-
I'm happy as long as I'm not last on the leader board. Especially if we loose because everybody always blames that guy. :'(
-
The lag keeps me away... I did have some fun, though, while I could stand it.

Turn off radar for all crucible modes. This, will make it better.

I wish they would keep combined arms out all the time. I would like to play on bigger maps.

Agree, love crucible. Adapt or fail.

Edited by Saudademaru: 3/28/2015 9:40:44 PMA game of PVP is about as random as their reward system. Sometimes it's good, sometimes the servers are so bad that everyone in the entire room as a red (or yellow if lucky) bar and sometimes it throws you in a game that's about to end in like 2 kills with no hopes of winning. It's a very inconsistent experience that makes me and others decide to not even bother playing for a night or few. About the death thing: It would be nice if the time to kill was longer and less things were a 1 hit kill so you could at least have a chance. There should be a way to quickly dodge supers if you're quick enough (I'm talking close range as you can already do this long range) and a way to shake off sticky grenades/burn damage (Although you would probably be shot to death while doing so, it would still be nice as an option. Make use of the motion sensors in the controller!) Now saying all of this stuff may make you think I'm bad at the game. I'm not. I've won rumble and other game types using all types of weapons available as well as with all subclasses. I've even got multiple Sum Of All Tears medals, but it's still frustrating to die and not even have a chance to fight it. Same with the FOH if you are airborne. It looks more like just a shockwave on the ground after all.

Edited by Swarley Sheen: 3/28/2015 7:01:19 PMI just started using Knucklehead Radar in Crucible and my recent K/D ratio has almost doubled. Also just got the MIDA (which makes the Knucklehead Radar perk worthless) and it's getting even better. I'm going to buy the Symbiote for when I use MIDA in Crucible. This has made me appreciate Crucible a little more than I used to.

I do when I'm on a roll. I'll have a 26-8 game then a 8-12 game. I don't know if that's just me or because the pvp is unbalanced. Those titan bubbles last too damn long tho. I just hate how you can play 3 straight games and be tops in kills and still get nothing good or nothing at all. About 2 weeks ago someone got the last word and they were 4th in kills and k/d. The best thing I've ever got was a purple engram.

I hate it!!! Aaarghh I really do!! Used to play it and wasn't too bad, just came back to do the invective bounty. Although I used the oh so OP TLW or thorn I can't get over 10/25!! I don't know how but I shot and thought I didn't miss but somehow always die before I kill... I must really suck at this!! Or it's only the pros who still play it...?!
-
Loving it right now. Recently mad a hunter, so a lot of new stuff compared to Warlocks and Titans.
-
I think it's fun but sometimes its really frustrating because of lag or if I'm playing bad, which happens a lot some days.
-
I'm having a ton of fun in crucible.
-
Crucible would be fun if they overhauled it using the mountain of feedback people have posted. Until then, it's a slog through the mud for very low rewards. It has moments of greatness, which is enhanced by playing with friends.
-
I get matched make with horrible players like 90% percent of the time and when i stay at the end of the game they give me the same exact teammates all the time! But when i get paired up with good players that go 20k-8k or something like that, they end up switching my team all the time!
-
Edited by Orpheus: 3/28/2015 7:52:52 PMI get frustrated with things that are out of my control, like if I were on a poor team and they're so bad you can't even carry them, or a laggy game. If I could have a team of six of ME, I could win a lot more.
-
The crucible is the low budget slums of destiny. No one goes there because they want to.
-
part of loving the crucible is hating it.... so much emotion in the air when im yelling at my tv screen

Lag is the only thing that stops me enjoying the Crucible. When it's a good lobby it's great fun, 9/10 times it's awful though because I play with people all over the world. Was in an Aussie lobby yesterday and was literally emptying my whole mag into people and not even getting assists. The only kills I got were rockets, supers and grenades. Still got above a 2 k/d though :p
-
Most of the time I enjoy it. It mostly depends on the team I am on and the connection of other players. I am almost always a green bar. I really enjoy the games where both teams are fighting for that one zone, everyone has like 3,000 points, and it is a very tight game. It is very interesting. I have one game last week that came down to 50 points and I had a 5 kill streak to win it for us. Another time we hawked the other team by coming back from an 8000 point deficit. Crucible can be really fun.
-
I haven't had a lasting time of fun in the Crucible since the beta.
-
If I could go a couple of games without being the only person on my team wanting to win it might be ok. I always get teamed up against decent players that are match made together while I get a couple of noobs that just keep dying all the time. It isn't fun I feel like I'm doing it because it's all there is left on Destiny.
