I think that people just need to get over the fact that they are going to die in pvp. There are so many ways you can die like supers, grenades, melee, snipers, shotguns, gunfights against multiple guardians, and heavy ammo.
It is gonna happen. Get over it!
You have to roll with the punches, accept that you are not immortal.. respawn learn from your mistakes or tip your cap because you get out played. Learn what fights you can come out on top and what fights to avoid. With this attitude you will gain experience and knowledge about the game instead of raging like a 2 year old.
So the moral of the story is to develop your play style, figure out what you are good at and find a class and weapons that best compliments your style. If you join a match and you are getting smashed change your weapon set up or change your play style. Maybe take it slower be less aggressive or just the opposite. Getting killed is a part of the game let it go and make an adjustment.

I agree, but I'm still learning how to do some of that. I do know that I will never be bringing Thorn, and probably not Hawkmoon, into pvp. I'm not adding to that mess
-
Agreed. Don't get frustrated when even a real good game you're dying every 2-3 kills. Some types of deaths can be upsetting or sucks when you break a streak but exactly as you said, learn and go again. That's the beauty of PVP. It's another reason I always roll Voidfang Vestments, so every life I'm guaranteed another nade and can engage my fight with a full arsenal.

Playing pvp is keeping the game fresh for me but I've had such a bad connection over last 4 days it makes playing pvp pointless Tho the rewards are shocking n lack of glimmer is just as bad
-
I don't mind dying. Sometimes I actually like diving into point B like a ballistic missile, seeing how well I can do but knowing I will die. I think Crucible is the most exciting solo content in the game.
-
If they buffed auto rifles just a lil ,nerfed felwinters range a lil, and be able to kill Titans mid super like u can to warlocks and hunters the crucible would be perfect.

Edited by Imladris: 3/29/2015 1:13:18 AMThe crucible makes me want to sob uncontrollably. It makes me feel like an insignificant scrub. If I'm not being clear... I suck at it.

the PVP in this game kinda sucks , its unbalanced as hell , i personally just suck at it , i have no illusions of grandeur and i am to old to be lying on the damn internet , i still do play it in hopes of finding a good lobby and by Goood i mean a balanced lobby , win some lose some close , fun matches not just Blow outs from either side . My Main problem with Crucible is the Reward system , its terrible , Winning or Losing it doesnt matter , doing good or doing bad , doesnt matter it plain sucks. My last Match was like 2 weeks ago , we destroyed the other team , a good team by the way but it is what it is, everyone had defense kills everyone went positive , everyone did their job , match ends and NO ONE GOT ANYTHING. Yep all 6 of us dint get shit LOL , i took a screen shot on my Xbox one and that is my background pic because i could not believe it . It doesnt keep u coming back for more , it doesnt maake the grind , blood ,sweat , tears and alot of times rage worth it .

Don't mind getting my share of good licks and loses, but no it's too hard for me not to take it personal. I do not enjoy personal conflict. When I do bounties with a KDR I don't have any fun at all. If I am just playing Control without a bounty that's a good time.
-
I hate pvp I suck at it, Im only playing it to do my Bad JuJu bounty.. I started using my TLW, its the only weapon I have that gives me a shot at killing anyone. My Two to the morgue does not kill with one shot for some reason. Oh well
-
Its fun, a bit chaotic and I do find myself kiting back every 2nd player I encounter running kamikaze at me with a shotgun. But overall alright.
-
I wish I could say I was.
-
Yes I have very much fun especially if I'm playing with friends. I like last word more than thorn in crucible.
-
No If you don't use the thorn or last word and a shotgun such as felwinters lie like everyone else You WILL get shit on
-
-
Fun? Crucible? Is it really possible for those two words to appear in the same sentence???
-
Killed by architects and misadventures as well
-
The 6v6 game modes are really good. Skirmish and salvage suck so much because of the fact that you cant just drop into a match and expect to do good unless you brought a fireteam of guys you know, know the game mode.

I don't mind losing a fair fight. The way I see it, Crucible has 2 major problems: 1) Poor balance among weapons/classes. This becomes especially apparent with the long TTK compared to other FPS PvP games. It's very difficult to balance weapons. If TTK was lowered, all weapons would appear to be equally effective killers, without any "balancing". The downside: Everything would become "OP". 2) Very poor programming/.net code to handle "lag", a.k.a. "lag comp". There will always be lag in every online multiplayer game. The way Destiny handles lag is terrible. It's as if this was the first online game, before there was any attempt to compensate for lag. In other games, the lag is there, just like destiny, but it doesn't become as obvious. Destiny is full of people teleporting/appearing after killing, and opponents that are "coasting", impervious to bullets. The attempts bungie has made to fix the Crucible have made it worse, e.g., unnecessary weapon "balancing", shortening of the kill buffer to reduce "draws". If I see on my screen I shot someone point blank with a shotgun, they should die, even if on their screen they already killed me. That would result in both of us dead, a "draw". Draws still happens, but less often compared to early crucible.
-
Generally yes. Tonight though...going against coordinated teams who also are all lagging (the good lag that let's you teleport and kill people) is rather frustrating. That and I wasn't playing well anyway.
-
I still get mad, but have been having a lot of fun recently. Been getting a lot of really good guns for pvp
-
I have fun but still rage lol
-
I dont care about all the unbalanced shit in crucible. What made me say -blam!- it is all the douchebag lag switchers that run about. So -blam!-ing stupid. Not to mention the general laggy ass servers.
-
KDR doesn't mean shit in Destiny, but it still sucks getting stomped by lagging jackasses or fireteams running 4+ deep with their buddies.
-
The game lacks balance. That's the problem.

I don't think the fact of dying bothers people, that is what all PvP's are about. Its pretty hard to 'roll with the punches' when there is no match making. You are simply dropped into a lobby that needs 12 players regardless of region or ping. I have spent a lot of time in CoD and Battlefield, games in which I can hold my own even with the internet that is offered where I live, but I have never experienced such a poor system for PvP. There is no consistency with connection. The Crucible for me is only a means to Exotic Bounties or challenges that require me to enter. I would have like the idea of playing more in crucible but I have died, then someone my killer comes around the corner. Shot people point blank with a shotgun only to have them turn and slap you down and my favourite, arc bladed a guy, seven hits arc blading followed by two stabs only to be one hit melee killed by him. There is nothing to get over, Destiny's PvP is one of the poorest and flawed systems out there.

Not really since the AR nerf and Red Death epidemic, now its mainly for bounties, marks, and deciding which weapons i can delete
