I personally think the amount of games being ported(as far as consoles go) is not great. I think backwards computability would have fixed this personally.

Backwards compatibility isn't beneficial to the console makers because it hurts the sales of the last gen consoles. I for one am okay with this cause it keeps the markets open from a consumer/business perspective.

Come on Willy, we all know the current gen CPU architecture isn't compatible with last gens. >Bullshit manufacturers excuse number one Besides they couldn't charge us twice to play what we already owned.
I totally agree with you btw, it was sarcasm that's all, not aimed at you but the industry.
Yes you're sarcasm was obvious m8. What they should've done (and what would be an actual "next gen feature) would be to least allow people put their digital games (perhaps physical as well) in a digital bank of sorts which would then allow them to "withdraw" and download them on current gen hardware. That would be next gen, nothing about 8th gen is next gen at all.

I totally agree 100%, they just want more money from us so that's not in their interest. Sorry, I had to put the bit in my last response about sarcasm as you would be surprised how many people misunderstand me.
