I still wonder why this hasn't been fixed along with not being able to restart story missions.

No that button doesn't work. Yes it shows a button for restarting but when I press it and launch I am right where I left off the previous time

You can restart story missions. You just hit square when choosing the level difficulty instead of pressing x.
