The title says it all. The exotic bounties are the true way of 'earring' things in Destiny. Not RNG, not Xur. I'm not saying stop Xur or RNG, just add more bounties for existing and new weapons. It would give people a true sense of accomplishment, at least that's how I feel. If you want it to stay the same, say why, I'm curious.
