Sure, a signature weapon for each and a signature armor for each would be nice. Maybe one that could be purchased with 200 Crucible OR 200 Vanguard Marks all at once, + let's say 5 Commendations. That way everyone could get one, and leveling your faction would be worthwhile. (edited after Webster Hennessy's suggestion below)
This would have the Vanguard Divisions (Titan, Hunter, Warlock) represent a "faction" in their own right as well, and have their own individual exotic gear. They would charge Vanguard marks, naturally. Their weapons would have a requirement of "can only be equipped by" the appropriate class in addition to everything else.
What weapons would be most fitting for each class to be a Vanguard-issue exotic?

A complete set of armor for each faction would be great. Each with it's own unique style and complementary perks.

Well that already exists, partially. They (NM, DO, FWC) each basically look the same though, which I find extremely lazy on their part. As far as perks go, they range in differences as long as you get them as random drops (good effin" luck with that)

how about like 200 vanguard or curcible depending on faction plus 5 comm. and let say 30 motes of light !

Are you treating each Vanguard division (titan/hunter/warlock) as its own faction? Had not occurred to me. In which case, sure, that works as well. Then those who dislike Crucible can still get their Exotic on. I will edit my original suggestion.
