Wow another cheesing scrub
Why cant you scrubs do stuff legit, instead of looking for the easy way out.
EDIT: To correct a lot of you people, him using blink is not a cheese, him using the sword to go around the game mechanic of creating the bridge to get across is the cheese. The bridge is there no a reason, to be used to get across the chasm, not to be used as a side option.
If he wants to solo the raid, more power to him, its cool that he is able to do it. Massive props to him for doing it.
But why cheat to do it?
In mt personal opinion, if you have to use this method to get across the chasm, solo or in a group, it is quite plain that yur raid group sucks and cant do it legit. Not saying people cant do it legit, but if you have to depend to this method you really should stick to Roc strikes.

What if you have gotten everything from the bridge on hard you can? Why would I waist my time doing something legit when I'm not going to get anything from it?

He's the most honest player ever. Why I even bet when he gets the blades of Crota bounties, he wanders endlessly through time and space searching for the next victim. Use the website to find public events? Um have you lost your mind? You're supposed to spend at minimum 2 hours circling the planet of your choosing in hopes of bumping into one. If you use the website, that's cheating.

Actually no, I use the fist of crota mission to complete tat bounty. I use the Destiny public event website when I need to complete that bounty. When I have the "Kill Target" bounties i run through the missions. There is a difference is running through stuff and cheating. Skipping over enemy sections to complete a bounty and going around game mechanics are nothing alike in the slightest.

I'm not saying you're wrong and I'm right, but it isn't cheating. You want to say going around game mechanics? Sure, just like when you do the heavy ammo glitch or (used to) leave while Crota is kneeling. But using in game features without manipulating the coding of the game or system isn't cheating. It may not be intended, but it is just an exploit of a flaw.

I actually look up the meaning of cheating in video games and it said "Cheating in video games involves a video game player using non-standard methods for creating an advantage beyond normal gameplay, usually to make the game easier. Cheats may be activated from within the game itself (a cheat code implemented by the original game developers); or created by third-party software (a game trainer) or hardware (a cheat cartridge). They can also be realised by exploiting software bugs." So in reality if you do anything outside the way the developers designed any activity it can be considered a cheat. Even the heavy ammo bug people exploit before fighting crota can be looked at as a way of cheating. If people cheating didnt get rewarded then I would say go for it, find tons of ways to do it. But there are certain things that players that cheated gain advantages over others by cheating and that is not right. Look what happened in Crota's End raid. Cheaters got rewarded for cheating, they got weapons and armor that allowed them to kick others out of groups for not having certain weapons or armor. So until that get fixed I will always be against cheating .

The whole point of the game is to explore. They might not like what particular rock you can jump on, but how do we know they didn't intend on us finding that rock? You're saying its cheating, but you don't know if it's intended and you can't describe what part of it is an actual cheat.

Yes are supposed to explore and it can be fun, but if you notice every time we the players find way to make stuff easy, it gets patched, which means that the devs don't want cheating to go on. People just refuse to get the point, not to cheat, through there heads.

What part of that quote applies to that part of the raid? You can't explain it, you just keep saying it.

No I never said that soloing it was cheating at all, neither is him using blink as his jump. What is the cheat is using the sword to get across the chasm instead of creating the bridge to get across. If you want to solo the raid, then go for it, and more power to you for doing it. But why cheat to do it. If you cant do it legit solo, then it is to hard for you , just admit it and don't look for a way to cheat.

I have all the bussiness making a post like this, because cheaters should never get rewarded for cheating. By cheating the raid or anything else in this game, you gain an unfair advantage over other players. Because of people cheating in the past, Crota's End became nothing but an "Elitest" paradise. People getting kicked because of not having certain armor or weapons. In certain PvP events the cheaters gained an unfair advantage over others. The only people that don't like threads or posts like this, are the people who depend on the cheat methods to do anything in this game. They have no real skill in the game and need the easiest method possible to get anything done.

I got my 32 by doing legit. I will run the abyss solo and cheese the bridge if it means that I can get a group through faster so I can focus on other stuff. I don't always have friends I can play with; I will use LFG and convince the randoms to let me do it the easy way. If they insist on legit methods, fine we'll try it your way; if we fail a lot; we're cheesing.

There is a difference between the easy way and cheating. You don't have to cheat to find the easy way to do stuff.

Well seeing as everyone keeps telling me that using this method of jumping and using the sword is actually harder then creating the bridge, since there is only a small gap in the invisible barrier you can get through. The easier way would be to create the bridge, the way it was intended, and cross that way.

I do create the bridge and send a hunter or warlock over to hide. If we are on normal, everyone dies and warlock self res and revive everyone, snipe ogres, bobs your uncle. If we're on hard, send a guy across, I go out of map and everyone else dies, I snipe ogres, bobs your uncle. I'm fine doing legit if everyone knows what's going on and isn't cocky.

none of that is legit, it is a cheat to cause the mobs to despawn. Doing it legit is getting all 6 people across the bridge, and killing the ogers.
