Have you ever cheesed Atheon?
How many of you have chased Atheon?

Got in a group that was gonna do it, I figured why not just out of curiosity. After about 20 minutes of trying we just decided to do it legit, took 2 teleports. So no I've never seen it work

I didn't. Because when I never googled how to cheese atheon because I had a good team that could kill him

I didn't do it personally, but the Warlock in my party did it a couple times waaaaaaay back in the day...

I pushed the Templar off several times but never atheon we always found it easier to bear him out right than to cheese him

I cheesed the snot out of the Templar but never did Atheon. I wasn't a high enough level until they patched it.

8 RepliesBasically everyone who was high enough of a level to do Atheon when the cheese was available, cheesed Atheon. Lol the only reason why "No" is winning is because so many Christmas noobs and people like me missed the cheese and started running Atheon after the patch. Also a lot of Christmas noobs just skipped Atheon altogether and bought their way to level 31. These results are bullshit though lol there were many more cheesers than 39%, I remember those days. The vast majority of level 30 players before DLC cheesed Atheon at some point. People just don't want to admit it, same thing happens when you ask who cheesed Crota lol

A few times on hard mode, yes. Never on easy. Honestly, once they patched away the "bug" which was preventing random teleports, pushing atheon was more fun. For those that don't know, when vault of glass was released, atheon would teleport the three people furthest from him. In an effort to form portal teams, three people would stand at the back wall and get teleported every time. It gave everyone a specific job for the fight, and many of us were very salty when it was declared a bug and random teleports began. That was when my team said f this, and laughed while we pushed him off. Obviously, that was when the vog was in its infancy, and had since been out long enough that there really is no need to cheese any part of the raid. Honestly, it could take longer to push atheon off then kill him legit. But that was our way of saying f you for changing the final boss mechanics.

I never knew about the atheon cheese lol. I cheesed the Templar once but that was it for VOG cheese. I did cheese Crota once though and I always cheese the bridge.

Nope. I got into my first raid at the very tail end of the push Atheon days. Right before patch. The group I was with was experienced and had done it several times before, so they tried it a couple times, but couldn't do it. They then said, since patch is incoming, might as well get in the habit of doing it legit again, so we did. I've never even seen a video of it being successfully done. No idea what it even looks like.

Yep. Pushed him off the edge in my first hard mode. Never did it again. Way more fun to do it legit.

Did it a long time ago. Alone, first try. Showed my wife the VoG and had Atheon checkpoint. Told her some guy on youtube cheesed him running and throwing nades like this... And there he went. Lol

Cheese everything. If it's an oversight on bungie's part I'm gonna exploit that shit until they patch it. Not my problem, should have spent some more time making sure players couldn't do that.
