• How is pve being ignored? Ok then, hardly no events, most weapon tweaks were for the benefit of PVP, only vanguard uses pve gained marks etc. Plus if you aren't complaining you clearly like crucible and wouldn't understand someone who bought the game for PVE (aka 90% of players)

  •
hardly no events
Queen's Wrath hasn't returned, no, which puts Crucible at +1 event over the rest of the game.
most weapon tweaks were for the benefit of PVP
They were balanced across the whole sandbox according to the devpost.
only vanguard uses pve gained marks
The way it's been since vanilla, and there's lore reasons for that. Mark economics haven't changed in any of the patches.
Plus if you aren't complaining you clearly like crucible and wouldn't understand someone who bought the game for PVE
False Dilemma
aka 90% of players
Source? So basically, PvE has only been "ignored" by Queen's Wrath not coming back because the devs think it's bunk and can't fix it. Compare to my list of changes above. You can't argue with facts.

  • Correction here. The Mark system changed with TDB, and it was a sneaky bastard change. Before, you could farm mats and trade them for crucible marks. So you could do business with all vendors without setting foot in the crucible. For months after release I didn't even know it was there because nothing on the screen indicated you could scroll down for more stuff. At this point a lot of high level players have enormous heaps of mats stacked up and nothing to spend them on. Same goes for ascendant mats for crota raiders, and yet, this trash is a nightfall reward for no good reason.

  • TDB added the commendations. They reversed the marks for mats just before. I don't see how it matters, since it affected both vendors.

  • Nitpick time line, my point stands as truth. They removed the pve player's ability to purchase from all vendors, forcing them into pvp against their will. They have known that pvp is unpopular for a long time hence the exotic bounties with pvp requirements as well.

  • Was a correction, not a nitpick. They also removed "PvP players"'s ability to grind mats for vanguard marks, forcing them into Tiger strikes. Except that never happens because people who play Crucible also play the rest of the game because that's how you do things.
hey have known that pvp is unpopular for a long time hence the exotic bounties with pvp requirements as well
Right. They knew Crucible was unpopular before the release of the beta so they made the exotic bounties include Crucible play for that reason. Sound logic.

  • Bugs. In. Raids. So. Damn. Frustrating. Fix what's broke first, then move on to other stuff

  • Their debugging team is probably smaller than their production staff, but I'll bet that they simply can't reproduce the bugs. Hell, nobody can. I respect that they're hard as -blam!- to find, but I do wish we'd get an official answer saying "we have no clue." Ignoring that, though, their lack of ability to fix one something does not suddenly invalidate all of the other changes they've made. My comment is still valid.

  • Why are you such a fanboy and argue about everyone agreeing pve has gotten the shaft?

  • But I'm not? I'm just tired of seeing bullshit arguments.

  • Iron Bananas how many times, vs Queens Wrath? All factions take Crucible Marks. This Shotgun patch is the first time a weapon has been updated for PvE, the rest of the weapon updates have been PvP, besides(arguably) the Exotic patch

  • I did forget about Iron Banner, and intentionally left out the Exotic reworking because it wasn't recent enough. Factions take Crucible marks for lore reasons, but I thought we were strictly talking about changes made to vanilla Destiny supposedly supporting PvP more than PvE. As you can see from above, that's not the case.

Dead orbit needs this, new monarchy needs that, but oh, you only get vanguard rep for doing this work. See the disconnect and lack of logic here?

  • Factions want exposure for propaganda reasons. Crucible gets them lots of exposure. Factions want to want Crucible champions. Crucible champions have marks, thus factions deal in marks. Or something like that. It's in the grimoire. You doing the patrol missions for them just helps them out, it's not as good for them as winning a game in the Crucible.

  • Well you still conveniently left out all the weapon balancing that has happened for pvp but not for pve lmao

  •
Weapon balances
It's right there. Didn't list any specific examples because it doesn't matter. Weapons got balanced.

  • Cool edit, and super clever not to put it on the very bottom, but nice of you to include the one weapon that got changed for pve specifically but not the multitude of them that got changed for PvP

If a post was edited, the timestamp in the top right says something along the lines of: 'Last edit: [time]." I'll edit this post to show you.
but nice of you to include the one weapon that got changed for pve specifically but not the multitude of them that got changed for PvP
Vex and shotguns are the only weapons that were changed specifically for one enemy type. The rest of the balances were sandbox wide. Dunno how you can attach a mode to them. EDIT: edited.
