Yep you will get the spot filled but, it can be as late as the end of the strike as I have sometimes found out. Only last week I joined the Roc list and my first strike literally went as follows. "Omnigul...Last of Crota's generals *Blah* *Blah*" My ship goes in to land and ....I'm on the reward screen with zero kills and a legendary ship called old russian soul. I don'y mind something for nothing but, even I was saying "WTF that's a bit unfair to these poor basts who actually did the strike!"
