I've had almost every exotic in my 300 hours of play time. I do feel like there should be more opportunity but what people need to realise is that when the next 2 raids are released there will be at least 9 exotic drop points per week excluding xur.

And these can be done on three characters so that will make 18 chances for an exotic drop. You can also do two of them on normal and hard that makes it 20 chances.
I understand that people may not be as lucky as me but there is plenty to do and soon enough you won't have time to finish everything before the weekly reset.
I don't know if the loot system should be changed but maybe it could trade duplicates for another random exotic drop that could be ascendant materials/ strange coins / exotic shards / exotic weapon / motes of light.

Right now it's at 15 if you have 3 characters -nightfall -gorgons -Atheon -wizards -Crota

Normal crota and Atheon can be done prior to doing hard mode, therefor you can add 6 to your 15 that is 21 per week.

Also I have deleted a level 31 titan and 31 warlock to remake new characters and run the raids and nightfalls Again. I have shown commitment despite my low playtime.

I know but maybe they have spent 500 hours doing the wrong thing lol. I'm missing the 4th horseman - pocket infinity (currently doing bounty) - super good advice - necroshitcasm.

If players find the raid to be absolutely no fun because of repeated glitches and horrible luck with drops then not raiding isn't spending their time the wrong way. I raid begrudgingly because I want exotic weapons that never drop for me in Nightfalls or aren't sold by Xur. Raids are rarely fun unless you get what you wanted going in and I haven't except for a few CE Hard primaries. I'd rather play PvP or Strikes, but I I feel at a disadvantage in PvP without guns like Hawkmoon, Red Death now, Suros previously, and others. I've had one exotic drop for me that I was excited for. Patience and Time. Otherwise it's Dragon's Breath again and again. I'm coming up on 300 hours and I'm just burned out from empty raids. I've been lucky to run complete raids with my main and just the drop parts for weeks now on alts to be more efficient. It didn't help! I'd rather actually have fun, but the only fun part of the game I look forward to when I sign on is partying up with the people I've met through Destiny. I'd much rather just play a different game with them, but not all guardians are as ready to move on yet.

One exotic in 300 hours. Defiantly doing it wrong. I have had a friend play with me for the last 2 weeks he allreddy has G'Horn, truth and patience and time. You are defiantly doing something wrong. Maybe you don't like raiding because you can't find a team? I don't mind because I have enough friends that know what they are doing therefore crota takes about 3 mins to kill. If we encounter a bug who cares it only took 3 mins to kill him anyway. People who cry about the bugs in this raid. Jesus you can just orbit out and join back in you get checkpoints. The raid from start to finish 30-45 mins and that's a bad run. Now I'm not defending bungie for leaving this shit in the game. It should have been tested better and more. I don't develop games though so I guess I don't know how to fix or find these faults. [spoiler]you are defiantly doing it wrong. 300 hours 1 drop is a pathetic waste of time. [/spoiler]

I didn't say one exotic, I said one I actually got excited about because it would get use. I get plenty of repeats of junk -NLBs, URs, DBs, Hard Light, Starfire Protocol, Voidfang, and others- while I see other players regularly get stuff they actually want. There should be weighting towards avoiding duplicates to prevent that. I have a solid team that can usually get through runs without problems, but it doesn't mean I get good drops just because I run the raids and NFs every week. RNG doesn't like me and I don't like the game mode that most favors RNG. I'm not playing incorrectly, just with poor luck. I got a Hard Light tonight in Inferno -I was in first- while someone on the other team got a Suros. That's just crap luck, not playing incorrectly. And I would say that months later Atheon and Crota should not STILL have so many issues. Especially Atheon.

Lol yea, 21 chances a week to get what you want, normal hard raid it's what I do. You have to grind to get what you want. Shit game I can't stop playing lol
